Study Day
Today:
- raconntino done This one is "La Sceriffa Carolina e Il Deputato Ned ."
- web assignment almost done. It was "la musica dell’Italia." I chose "Nessun Dorma" from Turandot by Puccini. I still have to find the worksheet and answer the questions but that shouldn’t take long. I am also going to see if I can find Fred’s Sarah Brightman CD that has this song…
- checked the homework sheet and saw I had amended the grammar assignment where la prof had said we don’t need to do it!
- I have to study for the test on Tuesday so I will spend tomorrow morning doing that. It is on words that denote relationships which are not too difficult {although I think it is odd that the same word is used for nephew and grandson!} AND possessive pronouns which will be easy if I can find the study sheet.
- as a reward for studying these tomorrow morning, I am going to hunt down a prelighted Christmas tree in the afternoon!
Fred has been feeling a bit off color today. He has an irregular pulse which usually clears itself up pretty quickly but not today. My thought is that it is the stress of company yesterday —I know *I* was tired when they left.
We have no television. Dish Network is sending someone out on Wednesday so that means we will have been five days without service! Oh, and we have to pay $30 to have him come.
I downloaded many sheets of Compound Forms. So, for your amusement, here are a couple:
- "ahead of the game " is in posizione di vantaggio…
- "a piece of the action" is una parte nell’affare
- "hit the sack" is andare a dormire.
- "have the gall" is avere l’impudenza.
Ok, I am off to finish the la musica assignment.
Patrizia i Grande
{Patricia the Great!}
Until later….
I hope Fred feels better soon *hugs*

Nessun Dorma is one of my favorites, somewhere I have a copy of Franco Correlli belting that one out (melt!). Try KMart for the trees — it looks like that they have some nice ones for not too much.

I like your new name, Patrizia i grande! As for the tv problem….gee! If you have been without tv for five days, you should get a discount on your monthly bill, NOT have to pay thirty bucks for someone to fix it!! hugs, Weesprite

Are they thinking that the problem is something you did? Because if not, why in the world are they charging YOU for THEIR product? I hope Fred feels better! That sounds scary to me. Patricia the Great! That made me smile!
