Tired

This morning my walking partner and I walked downhill to the Riverwalk and then up hill to get back home. The muscles in my thighs are complaining bitterly. It isn’t a mile-and-a-half as are the other walks I have mapped out but it is the equivalent and then some because Vermont hills are real hills!

In addition, I have swept all floors, Swiffer dry-mopped and wet-mopped all floors. I have dusted and straightened the living room and the dining room. The bathroom and the kitchen have been given a really good cleaning. I have put away several bags of groceries that Fred went out to buy.

And the reason for all this? We are having company arriving about 4:30 this afternoon. There will be one of Fred’s twin daughters, her husband and her two children, both of whom are teenagers. E. {the girl} is in college and B. {the boy} is still in high school.

And I just got back from the walking up to the drug store to get Fred’s medication and some night-light bulbs.

I am exhausted! I had intended to work on my raccontino which is pretty nearly done but I am too tired! I think I will get a fifty-calorie fudge stick and continue re-reading  Wuthering Heights.

Until later….

RYN: have you written about it in detail? I’ve seen the one saying you had a great time then at the end of it you say you’ll write about it later but I can’t find anything else relating to it anywhere apart from the bit about the questionnaires?

{{{Hugs}}},

I’ve not read Wuthering Heights but I didn’t like the movie very much. I have read Jane Eyre which I think was written by the sister of the one who wrote Wuthering Heights. I’m not sure on this though. I could be way off. I really liked Jane Eyre. 🙂

Aren’t swiffers the best? I love reading all about the busy things that you do…you always amaze me at your energy level. Can you share some of your secrets? Enjoy your time with your family today. 🙂

Yes, most states have REAL hills…or so we think, after living in Delaware for so many years! We don’t have hills…. not even unreal ones! Our highest elevation is a sand dune! :o) !! I hope you and Fred have a nice time with your company. hugs, Weesprite

Hope you’re doing some stretches before and after those walks. They will help your muscles and joints feel a lot better.

You -have- been busy! Aren’t swiffers wonderful? Hope the visit goes well.

RYN: something weird going on here – all I can see on the 22nd is the entry entitled ‘Tiny Entry’. I realised it was just something to do with what I’m seeing at this end because I knew other folk would have been asking as well! Any clues?

I hope you enjoyed your company 🙂

The rereads sound like fun. I have several books I read in high school that I will reread some time in the future. But for now I am trying to catch up on ODers as I have been so out of the loop almost since spring. I’ll have to google raccontino to see what it is as you’ve mentioned it several times now. Bravo for keeping up with your walking. I will start walking again today.
