More School Stuff
The last test we took we got back this morning. I made an 87. And, why, may you ask did I not make 100?
Well, I was SO mad with myself when I realized what I had done. It was basically a translation test. She gave us a phrase and we translated it. I did fine until I got to the section that was sentences. Instead of translating the questions, I answered them. In Italian! I had this brain switch where I thought I was doing an assignment where she gives us a question and we have to answer it. {We get a lot of this kind of work} AAAARRRRRGH! Anyway, I am not letting this worry me overmuch because I have lots of As and a few A pluses so it will all work out.
Today we talked about some of the things we had said on our surveys last week. Apparently someone had suggested that she write what we say on the board when we start constructing our raccontinos. She did this today and this was a lot of help because although I tried to take notes before, I was not always sure I got everything. So, tomorrow I must rewrite my story from last week. This is not A Bad Thing because, as she says often, mistakes are to be expected and it is good for us to redo the stories correctly. I have already started on this weeks raccontino which is about Jessica and Fabio who are in a gondola and Fabio falls asleep. {I want Jessica to toss him overboard but I don’t have the words!}I LOVE my art room. Today on the way home I got a small bulletin board to put above my desk and I am going to put it up tomorrow. Fred has already put the little hangers on the board for me. {That is how I found I need to dry-dust the dining room floor when he dropped one of the tiny nails and called me to look for it on my hands and knees. He actually found it by doing a CSI search inch by inch with a flashlight in the area where he dropped it! }Tomorrow:
- dry-dust the living room and dining room floors
- put up my bulletin board
- work on the raccontino {due next Thursday}
- work on the vocabulary list {days of the week, seasons, months} she told us the Thursday quiz would be on
- perhaps start on the grammar assignments due next Tuesday?
There are banging noises and interesting smells coming from the kitchen. I am off to investigate! Adiamo!
Until later….
I really want to make my one spare bedroom into a little office.. get a desk and some bookshelves and all that. Hearing of your art room makes me want to get that set up more than ever 🙂

She has to be impressed that you were able to answer in Italian though! And that’s a “B”. Don’t be too hard on yourself (I like the ‘A’s myself though ;))

Awww,man.That sucks! I’m still really jealous about your art room. I’m sharing the laundry room as my creative space *glares*

Having an art room must be very nice indeed! :o) !! And gosh….I’d’ve probably answered the questions, too. Isn’t that what one normally does with questions?! She’s a tricky one, that teacher! hugs, Weesprite

LOL! I love how you want your story to end (especially if “Fabio” is Italian for “Thorn”–hee hee hee). I think you should look up the words on the internet and surprise the teacher.
