First Entry

I was up around 5 am this morning to check that my homework was done because I am anal that way
I knew the grammar part was done because I did it last week. No, I am not that anal—I misread the date it was due! But I knew I had a bit to do that was due last week because somehow I had not picked up the sheet. It was a good job I gave myself plenty of time because I had a translation I had forgotten about ! The assignment was to translate the short story we all helped her construct in class last week, finish it and then write five questions and answers about it! I had totally forgotten about this. First, I panicked and then I did it!

I found out this morning that when it is dark outside, I really need a floor lamp right by my computer desk. I turned on the top light this morning but I really hate top lights. I would much rather have had a floor lamp. This reminds me of a place my younger son worked a few years ago. I asked him what he liked about it and he said there were no ceiling lights! It was all floor lamps! That is definitely my kid!

Ok, more when I get home….

hehe. I hate ceiling lights as well. In fact, I really need to buy some end tables for my living room. I never turn on my overhead light in the living room… but I’m afraid I’ll become clinically depressed if I continue to sit in the dark all the time!

Ceiling lights always cast funny shadows. Floor lamps for me too.

Our house was built in the early 60’s and there are no ceiling lights anywhere except the kitchen. I hate it. I’d love to turn on a light and it would shine all over the room, not just in one little corner. Oh well…grass is always greener.
