Five in the Morning

I am up at 5 am. not because I couldn’t sleep, oh no! I really had to force myself to get up. I have to study for the vocabulary test today and finish up typing my homework. I finished the raccontino {little story} on Tuesday, but there were also three exercises from the grammar book to be done.

I didn’t get it all done yesterday because I ran out of both day and energy! I am a morning person. Anything that gets done has to get done in the morning or it doesn’t get done on that day. Yesterday the morning was spent first waiting for the Verizon tech and secondly putting together my new print rack which was nowhere near as easy as I thought it was going to be! After the tech left, I made a quick trip to the bank and the grocery store. {I like having a branch of my bank in the same place we get groceries} but by the time I got back, my productive time, the morning, was gone. I forced myself to spend a couple of hours sitting on the bed {Fred is almost through with my desk! Yea!} writing the answers to the three exercises. There were fifty sentences in all and although some of them were copied from the book, others were questions which had to be answered in sentences.So, this morning I typed them all from my notebook to paper and printed them out. I also found out who "Joe Greens" was for extra credit! {Hint: Verde is "green" in Italian.}

I have given myself a time limit for lollygagging around on the computer and then I have to get my flash cards and study — especially the verbs!

Until later….

Patrisha, you continue to amaze me with all the learning you do, and all your varied projects. I guess that’s what keeps you so young. Glad you enjoyed the stories and photos from England. I DID see marmite on the shelves and I think it was even offered at Sid’s Cafe (the Summer Wine cafe, in Holmfirth) but I didn’t try it. It did seem to me that health was a huge topic on TV and newspapers. In Sid’s, a small family sat down next to us at a long table, and the mother had a little set-to with her little girl. She insisted the girl have a certain drink rather than the sweet one she wanted, saying, “This one is bad for your teeth, and this one is good for your teeth.” The little girl pouted and said, “That’s too bad.” (But she drank the healthier drink.) I’m a morning person too. I think it’s the prettiest part of the day and I feel like I’m wasting something if I don’t get an early start.

Good luck on your vocabulary test today! I know you’ll ace it!

Best of luck with the test. 🙂

My mornings are for lollygagging around the house. My productive time is in the afternoon. Each to their own, I say!

Giuseppe Verdi!!! My mom taught me that when I was a kid.

I wish I could set time limits for myself. Maybe I’d get more done around here. 🙂

When I was a teenager, I could sleep all day long! But now that I’m “older” I am way definitely a morning person myself too! So glad Fred has your desk almost finished!

I got home today and had a big package sitting on my front stoop. It was my beautiful bread machine! Thank you SO much… I love it already and haven’t even made any bread yet. 🙂
