Nameless Entry

EDIT: Well, I didn’t even KNOW I had a nameless entry until Fred told me I had! I thought I had messed up the HTML {bolding and Italics} but through some quirk of the system, it wouldn’t take when I resaved it. I hope this title will! {I am thinking it was perhaps because the original title had quotation marks in it? Hmmm, I dunno!}

Anyway, the kitrchen and bathroom floor have been hands -and-knees scrubbed and the refrigerator and stove have been scrubbed throroughly and are now drying out. while I am taking this break. And at this point, I have to say I really liquid Spic and Span. I poured it undiluted on a scrubber, scrubbed, let it sit on the surface for a few minutes then  rinsed it off with a damp clean sponge and dried it with a paper towel, and even the worst stains came off almost immediately. All I have left to do is to sweep the living room floor and bring down the vacuum cleaners, the Ipod and speaker and a box full of bits and pieces I had forgotten. Oh, and the two buckets, the sponge mop and the cleaning products. Oh, and a couple of fans… hmmm, I am thinking more than one trip!

Incidentally, we are VERY annoyed with Verizon who have cut off the phone upstairs and don’t come to install the phone down here until tomorrow! And I don’t know which box my cell phone is in! {I really thought it was in my purse!}

"Hi-ho! Hi-Ho! {This was the original title}

It’s off to scrub I go!"

In a few minutes, I am off to scrub the upstair kitchen and bathroom floors and do a one-more-last-time vacuum around and then I will be THROUGH!

Things to get today:

  • shower curtain and shower curtain rings
  • another lamp for my side of the bed. I like the clip on ones that fasten to the head of the bed and the clip on mine broke last night.
  • any other useful thing  that we absolutely need  that I may see while I am at WalMarts

Weird..there was no title to link from on my faves list…i had to go through your main page, then go to the previous entry to get to this one. lol

RYN:I am not sure. They are still going to start earlier than most states, but not like now. We normally don’t have a need for make up days unless we have hurricanes. In the past, they took away a teacher duty day, a day from Christmas break or added a day to the end of the year. I remember one time they didn’t have to make it up.

Yeah, what above noter said…weird. It will be nice to have everything done with the upstairs.

Same here. How exactly did you go about creating a nameless entry?

July 31, 2006

Me, too! Odd. Hooray for the last whip-round of the upstairs. No more trudging up those stairs. LOL Hey, while you’re at Walmart, pick me up some yarn, will ya? I don’t have time….;-)

Ditto! congrats on getting your move DONE! I hope the new place feels like home very soon… it must help that it’s still the same address, just downstairs 😛 (huggles)

July 31, 2006

~drooling~ I can find so many things I NEED when at wal-mart 🙂

Can I come over and help you clean? I love cleaning. 🙂

July 31, 2006

I wondered what had happened to that entry…or to you. I’m glad you’re back to tell us! Gee, you have been working hard. I’m glad you are nearly done with it all! (well except for the unpacking) and I hope you find your cell phone pretty easily. hugs, Weesprite

July 31, 2006

I bet you’re relieved that the worst of the moving is done, eh? (OK, that ‘i before e’ thing will never sit right with me).

July 31, 2006

sounds like you’re making progress 🙂

July 31, 2006

You are one hard-working woman!

July 31, 2006

i am so glad you and fred don’t have to go up and down those stairs anymore! take care,

July 31, 2006

You must be relieved it’s almost all done. Sounds like everything went well. We are sitting at 100 degrees here right now. So watch out it is coming your way. Tomorrow is supposed to be 90 then 78 on Wed. I am going to have to get out my parka! LOLOL

July 31, 2006

Have you thought of one of those keeper strings that loop on a belt for the cell-phone? I keep seeing carpenters using them. Very glad to hear that things are going well.

Where are you getting the energy for all that rubbing and scrubbing? And going up and down the stairs? Just reading about it tires me out. Good for you!

I can’t WAIT til I can go to Walmart and get things I NEED. There are a few things actually… but I just can’t afford them right now. Bleh. I’m glad the cleaning is going well 🙂 I’ve reached a rut in my own unpacking and whatnot. It’s just too darn hot to do any more.

I always knew that spic and span was the best. take care of you and don’t over do it.
