Packing, Packing, Packing

  • new landlord {Bryce} came by with lease for our perusal. There is one major change that Fred wants done {Bryce agrees} and one question I have to ask him which is does bi-weekly mean once every two weeks or twice a week? { his removal of trash}
  • lease signing and {I assume} handing over of rent check will be on the 28th.
  • fire inspector came by and inspected
  • we both packed this morning. All books and videos are packed.
  • the kitchen remains untouched although I will start on canned goods tomorrow, I think.
  • there is a real possibility that we may have to buy still more boxes! {UHaul refunds for unused boxesif you have the receipt. I will have the receipt}
  • Fred got the utilities all sorted but Verizon tells us that there will be no DSL until August 9th! I can see walks to the library computer will loom large in my life
  • SATURDAY !!! This move is actually going to happen in a couple of days!

Until later….

Wow! It’s all happening so fast. *hugs*

Bi-weekly happens twice a week. Semi-weekly would be every other week.

Packing is simply the worst. Every entry I read is like a window to the three weeks before I moved! I know that your unpacking entries will just hit home, as I’m STILL unpacking (and likely will be for awhile).

July 26, 2006

take care of you beautiful ::*::AsiminA::*::

July 26, 2006

Too bad you can’t unpack the stuff that M&M took downstairs already and re-use those boxes. You is wearing me out, lady! whew! 🙂

SOOOO not envying you packing and moving!!

July 26, 2006

*huggs* soon it will be all over, you two will love your new space and you can breath a sigh of releif!

July 26, 2006

Good luck with the move.

July 26, 2006

this is fast! Have you thought of leaving your DSL upstairs until then? Talk to the landlord if you have to. If you have wireless it shouldn’t be an issue! And you’re progressing well!

July 26, 2006

bi-weekly means every 2 weeks

July 26, 2006

and that’s from my online calender scheduling option. Bi-weekly shows up as every 2 weeks.

July 26, 2006

Sorry, I can’t help myself – David and I thought it meant every two weeks – here is the definition from dictionary: “biweekly |bīˈwēklē| adjective & adverb appearing or taking place every two weeks or twice a week” LOL! WTF is going on with our english language? I hope the trash is not only picked twice a month:) Vista Way

congratulations! you are going to make it! *smiles*

Good luck with your move. I’m sure you’ll be quite glad when you’re completely moved in and comfy.

July 27, 2006

AHHH! No internet!! That might be worse than the move 😛

July 27, 2006

I laughed over Vista Way’s note, in which she reported the dictionary’s definition of bi-weekly. Gee, so we still don’t know how often the trash will be collected! Like your other noters, I hope it’s twice a week. If ours only got picked up twice a month, we’d be drowning in it!! hugs, Weesprite

Wow! I am catching up. Congrats on the move-I know you are anxious to get it over with. It will be nice to be on ground floor and have more room. Take care of yourself and good luck in the move.

July 27, 2006

It will be all over before you know it. It is just the dread of getting it done that we always worry about. I really think you will enjoy the extra room though.

I’m so ch…er, frugal that I get boxes from the fruit market when I need them. Not for mailing. 🙂
