Moving News

It was SO helpful to have Mike and Melanie come upstairs last night and move the boxes. There were so many boxes that we couldn’t get to the two bookshelves that still needed emptying. We have really got a lot done this morning. We are both taking a short break before going back to the book packing!

Today the fire inspector comes around to check that the apartment has a carbon monoxide alert, smoke alerts and fire extingushers. It does

Fred has got the electricity sorted out and today he is girding himself up to fight with Verizon who, apparently plan to have us off line for two weeks or more! He is also going to cancel Adelphia and look into the dish television. Mike and Melanie loved it and they are leaving their dish behind….
I had a really bad night last night. I went to bed at 11 pm and slept until 1 am. I was up from that time until 4 am. I then gave in, ate something and then took half a Klonopin. I slept intil almost 9 am. I don’t feel sleepy but I do feel a tiny bit off balance. Apart from its addictiveness, I am one of the few who have the side effect  of having their balance upset by Klonopin. Unless I take it often, it is not bad. I just bump into things I know are there because I misjudge slightly. But, hey, at my age I do not need to be taking anything that may cause balance problems. I am back to taking nortriptylene and it is definirely calming the restless leg syndrome. {RLS} It doesn’t cure it but it makes it manageable. I have an appointment with a new resident in about two weeks {pause for a brief tear because Dr. EyeCandy has gone} and the management of RLS is one of the things on my list of things to discuss. I will also tell him I am having trouble sleeping but I am leary of taking sleeping pills because I am pretty sure I will be back to normal once the stress of the move is over… I really don’t think that unpacking will be anywhere near as bad because there is no time limit on it… {We move on Saturday of this week.}
Well, I must follow Fred’s example and head back to the packing!

Until later….

I’m glad Mike and Melanie helped you guys out! I know that when I got to the point where I had so many boxes and I couldn’t get to the rest, I had nowhere to put the rest of it! I’m hoping your packing continues to go well, and that you’re soon settled into the new apartment. (just keep thinking “art room art room art room”) ryn: i can’t wait to be able to tell you what I do at this new job!

I hope you aren’t offline that long. :S
