End of the Day
Today I did the following:
- walked up the road and got my hair cut
- walked down to the bottom of town and changed my library books
- washed dishes
- thought about filling a box with books but didn’t do it.
- took a two hour nap. It was nice but probably a mistake…
- drove Fred to the diner. He had pork and I had liver.
On my way down to the library this morning, I stopped to talk to a neighbor and told him we are moving to the downstairs apartment. We chatted a lot about this and that and he mentioned that although he walked down to the library several times a week, {this is where I got to know him when I worked at the library} his wife Charlene could no longer go because although she can drive she can no longer walk long distances. The new library is on the ground floor and the handicapped parking area has been moved to the level above! There is a ramp down but it is a long ramp. I walked down it today and down is fine, but up the ramp is steep and long. Very poor planning…
Until later….
I used to love liver & onions. Now I wish I still did.

A box of books is darn heavy anyway!

Idiot planners! It makes me wonder what part of “handicapped” they don’t understand.

Looks like it’s a liver and onion supper around here soon:) I’m a big believer in thinking a very long time before beginning to pack – I almost missed my plane out to California I thought about packing so much! *snort* Vista Way

Sorry, I can’t do liver. Swore when I was a kid and my mom tried to kill us with that stuff that I would NEVER eat it as an adult, and I never have. LOL. That really is poor planning. Wonder why they did it that way.

Very poor planning indeed! Whoever came up with that scheme ought to get a good smack.

You did a lot of walking on a hawt day! And thinking about packing a box is almost as good as doing it, I figure. As for liver…. as a child I hated it; now I like it, especially chicken livers. mmmmmmmmmm!! hugs, Weesprite

It’s really a shame that the handicap area was so poorly planned. A library ought to be easily accessible to everyne. ryn: I love watermelon, too. I was really afraid I’d lose my balance and fall into that box. I don’t know why they store those large melons so close to the floor. They ought to put them on the produce tables where everyone can easily reach them. Have a great weekend, Patrisha.
