Moving Thoughts

IF I am reading my notes correctly, Mike and his friends will be physically moving our stuff downstairs on the 30th of this month. Which means everything that needs to be in boxes actually has to be in those boxes by the 29th. Now, the big problem here as I see it is where on earth do we PUT those boxes up HERE when we have them packed? I think I forgot to ask when Mike and Melanie will be moving stuff out of the porch and the basement.  The problem was that we were having such a good time socializing that important questions didn’t get asked…

OK, that I can do today. And check again on the moving date…
From now until the move, my entries will very possibly be lists! So, what else is new?

Today’s list:

  • put ingredients for raisin bread in the machine
  • go for a walk. This is getting neglected lately and my weight is creeping up. Time to put a STOP to that.
  • dishes
  • put a couple of boxes together so that Fred can pack books in the living room. The book packing doesn’t have to be done today–just the boxes so that when he is sitting in there, he can make a start..
  • talk to Melanie about when there will be any space in the basement or the porch so I can start moving lighter stuff down there
  • go through all the stuff I have on the shelves in the bathroom and throw out anything I don’t need. Box the rest? {But where will I put the box?}

Oh, well, don’t panic. It will eventually get done….

Until later….

As you pack stuff, empty spaces will appear, so you can stack boxes there. Sounds like you will be living in a warehouse environment for the next two weeks! LOL! Good luck with that.

oh, the boxing of things!! how disjointed you will feel with all those boxes laying around. but, then you will have an art room!!! take care,

It is good when you can do some of the packing of things, sitting down! And as for boxes….yea! You will be living with lots of boxes for awhile. That can be frustrating….but in a few weeks you’ll be moved in! I hope you have a lovely day! hugs, Weesprite

🙂 very practical – i had to smile at your leaving boxes for fred topack whilst he is sitting there.

Starting Over has the similar idea. Spaces will appear or you can pack up a certain corner you don’t really use and start stacking boxes there. But I remember from my past experiences that you are living in boxes for the last few weeks 🙂 But at least it will be over in a few weeks!

I think things will go really well with your move. It’s just downstairs and they can move things as need be. Half the stuff probably doesn’t even need tobe in boxes it can just be carried down. This should be a very good move since you have help and it’s so close! All in all moving can be a pain but I think it will go smoothly.
