Bullets and Smileys

  • When one is retired, every day is a holiday therefore one tends to dislike "real " holidays because it disrupts one’s normal schedule!
  • Today is laundry day. This is my normal schedule.Normal is good.
  • I am mostly excited but also a little bit dreading this move.
  • We have so much STUFF!
  • The holdup in moving is that the closing is at the end of this month. Then, I guess, Mike and Melanie will have a date to move out and we will have a date to move in!
  • Gulp!
  • Did I mention that Mike said he and his church {Mormon} friends will move us?
  • To me, Mike and Melanie epitomize true Christians. They don’t shove religion down your throat but instead go around unselfconsiously teaching what true Christianity should be by being good people.
  • I need to start collecting boxes for this move.
  • One of my neighbors said she was "thrilled" to hear we are staying! I told her I was too!
  • One the 24th ot THIS month, I will register online for the two classes I am going to take. There will be world-wide fireworks and dancing in the street mandated when I get this done!
  • I have got to get myself in gear and get going on getting rid of some of this STUFF!
  • Ok, on with the day–breakfast, dishes, laundry and a walk!
  • Oh, and starting on getting rid of STUFF!

Until later….

Sometimes it’s good to be forced to get rid of ‘stuff’…. but oooh, what a job it is!! And then it’s amazing how quickly new stuff accumulates! I hope you have a lovely day (even though there’s “stuff” to be done, not all of it fun!) hugs, Weesprite

Hey, there will LITERALLY be fireworks in Utah on the 24th! I’ll think of you. LOL The 24th is Pioneer Day…celebration of the day the pioneers first came to this valley. 😀

I enjoy getting rid of stuff. If I was there I’d help you if it was welcomed. 🙂

Lol, I know how you feel with the moving and packing. We have tywo weeks to go until we up sticks…I’ve packed about 3 or 4 boxes from my room, and mother has gone on PANIC mode. Not normal panic, but HUGE panic. *shakes head*

Sounds like a good move for you. I can’t imagine moving. I’ve been here too long. I’m not proud of that.

I sure know THIS feeling… I never knew how much STUFF I owned until I made this move. It was horrid! Stuff I’d kapt for years and years and even MOVED a couple of times… I’ve vowed to keep my life more streamlined, but I have a feeling my old “Pack Rat” tendencies will sneak in if I’m not careful! Have a great day! Love ya! ~M

I do hope Mike and Melanie keep in touch. They’re good people.

Good luck! I’m not moving for the forseeable future, but I still need to get rid of some stuff. Send me some motivation, please! *grin*

I love reading your entries. They are almost always uplifting. Good luck on your move. I don’t envy you at all. I know I always seem to have more “stuff” than I thought I did when I move. I wouldn’t even want to attempt it now after living in the same house for 19 years!

i do remember that you are going to have help with moving – and i think that’s fantastic! i am very happy for you that this is going to happen. good for you walking! i see you have lost quite a bit of weight and i will have to make the time to read those entries. i am sure i will find them to be very encouraging.

at least, the move is just downstairs! you don’t need trucks and driving time. it’s so sweet of your neighbors to tell you they are glad you are staying. it’s so humid outside i don’t think i’m taking merlyn for a walk today. i know i will tomorrow, though. take care,

good luck with the stuff!

(4/7/06) RYN: Quite understandable, your not celebrating. Do you think the Queen would take us back if we asked nicely? ;oD frank

that is great that they are doing this for you guys. And yes, a true christian.

Well I just read some of your diary. I am very impressed and would like to ask for a word of advice. How do you make it? I read that depression is one of your interests, so you also had down points. If you have a chance, give a word of advice to someone who would appreciate it. Thanks

I’ve hated moving, which is why I tend to avoid it. Fortunately, you’re not going too far.

Yes, please do. I would like to have someone who has experience and made out very well. I would appreciate your advice 🙂

Well I imagine if you tackle one small space every day, tossing and packing, organizing and sorting, it will chip away at the big job you are in for on moving day.

I am more glued to ur diary than ever before – having just recently finished to this point! I can’t help thinking that this move is a positive happening in ur life – and the life u share with Fred. I read, in earlier entry, that u wanted a new space when first u moved there – sometimes one is forced into what one has wanted…sometimes just the flow of life brings us what we want-in its own time

u need boxes? sigh…maybe the library has boxes from the copy machine paper it could save up for you? Or Kinko or some such place? Our copy room has many empty copy paper boxes – cleaner than grocery store boxes, too! Vista Way

I admire your regular walks that you take. Since I came back from Florida I have not exercised at all.
