A Wasted Day

I don’t know where the day has gone to since I hardly seem to have done anything at all today.I washed and dried two loads of clothes and did a leisurely little stroll with my camera in the heat this afternoon but otherwise I just frittered the day away.

I am still coughing, sneezing  and blowing my nose a lot. I don’t feel ill but I just don’t feel well even though I have no temperature–well, except the one I am supposed to have .

I have finished reading The English Patient and although there were occasional scenes and characters I liked, on the whole I found it a disappointing story. Maybe it will all make more sense if I get the movie from Netflix? Which reminds me that I have to go to Netflix and take all the Babylon 5 movies off my list. I watched the first one and just couldn’t get interested.

Until later..

A-choo! {sniffle-sniffle…}

I was productive for you today…the bread is outstanding and perfect for sandwiches, just as I hoped. I was concerned it would be too sweet for sandwiches because of the molasses, but it is perfect. I also did an insane amount of laundry. Thanks for the motivation 🙂

I had to grin at the temperature you’re supposed to have. That was cute.

i hope you get to feeling better real soon. summer colds are just no fun. you did laundry and a stroll. that’s enuf to do in heat and humidity like today. take care,

Aw, man! Don’t sneeze on the monitor…I have to wipe it off! LOL I heard that the English Patient movie was dumb and boring, and since the book is usually better than the movie….I probably wouldn’t waste my time.

Passes you the kleenex…….poor baby! Feel better soon! And two loads of laundry qualify your day as far as I’m concerned!!! Love to you! ~M

I can certainly sympathize with the cold! I’m on week three, though only my nose is stuffed now, and that could be allergies. As for your day — it was more productive than mine!

: ) *huggs* sending you some chicken soup thoughts…..

Having a cold in summer is the worst! Hope you feel better. I didn’t care for the book either. The movie was less enjoyable, in my opinion.

You seem so adept at just taking things as they come, but underneath it all you have been under a great deal of stress these past few months. Perhaps your body is trying to tell you it wants to slow down and recharge. Take care.

I was not very productive today either, I’ll try for tomorrow. 🙂

I really liked the film version of English Patient, but the book really missed catching my attention. But then, there’s that Ralph Fiennes — No day is ever wasted, there are just days you don’t get as much done as you thought you would!

I preferred the movie to the book (which is rare, for me), but that could just be because it was beautifully filmed…it was a pleasure to look at.

A summer cold seems worse than a winter cold. You have to suffer from the heat as well as a stuffy head and runny nose.

Patrisha – you’ve never wasted a day in your life!! I kind of liked English Patient – both movie and book. Right now I’m remembering the movie – Fiennes (sp) and the beautiful French girl – the Sikh was more real in the book – never room for everything. I own the book, would like to see the movie again.
