Morning Stuff
It is very odd to be NOT looking forward to a trip to England. The more I think of seeing my sister as she is now, the bigger that heavy lump in my stomach feels.
Moving on… This morning I am off to the college to enquire why on earth I can’t sign on for my one class on line. The last info I got from the help desk basically said that they couldn’t figure it out either and for me to "see my CCV advisor!" Ummm, that would be the CCV advisor I don’t have that you are asking me to see, right?
The green chair is still with us but, Bill, Fred’s good friend, is coming to visit this evening and he will take it. And then I can get into cleaning out and throwing away a bunch of junk. And then Fred can get the table up there for me. I would love to see it there before I leave but I know he will get it there while I am gone.
I need to check on tropical storm Tracey is since the last time I saw a report on the TV the storm was scheduled to hit right where my younger son lives. Because of living in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area for many years, I tend to be a bit blase about these storms. Mostly what they meant for us was a lot of rain and once we moved away from the coast and had a house on a hill, even the fear of flooding was not too bad!
Right in the middle of writing this, my son contacted me by IM! He is off work but he is actually there at the college since the college has power and his apartment building doesn’t. I told him that we are a couple that have our priorities straight–go where the Internet is!
Ok, I am off to eat breakfast and then on the great adventure of finding out why I can’t register on line!
Update later…
you’re in my prayers. I know this trip will be very difficult

We are watching the storm also. Our workers are out keeping trees off the highway. We are having 40mph winds and rain. It will be a stormy day. Wish I was home reading a good book. My thoughts are with you about Robbie. I know that this will be difficult at best but know that you have people who love you in the states and are with you in spirit.

This happened to my boyfriend, too. He had trouble getting his classes online, too! Finally, somebody over at the IT department straightened it out. He’s signing up for the fall semester next week, already. Thank you for your nice note!
