Class Day

I got up about 5:30 this morning to find Fred already up! These days he is like the babies that get their days and nights mixed up. Apparently he slept two hours or so and then got up! It is now 8:30 and he just went back to bed.

I am feeling much better today and I have already been for a walk. It is still going to be a hot day but we are on our way to cooler temperatures. When I was walking this morning, it was raining very slightly and it was almost like the warm Mississippi rain I was used to for so many years. When I moved from England to Mississippi, I had to learn not to be concerned about rain. Then, when I moved to Vermont, I had to go back to the whole "Is it going to rain" thing I had learned growing up in England!

I am almost ready for class. I finished my ink copy of Van Gogh’s "Peasant" and lightly sketched out my landscape for classwork. The only thing I haven’t done is to check my list of what I need to carry to class with me today and pack the stuff together.

I really REALLY want to go on with this college-level art. When I get back from England at the end of July, I will look into what is available at the commumity college where I am now. I also need to check into the University of Vermont catalog. Community College catalogs are scattered everywhere including the local library but I can’t ever remember seeing a UVM catalog there…

To do this morning:

  • put the ingredients for a loaf in the machine
  • organize my art materials for class this afternoon
  • check the UVM site on line to see if they have a catalog on line…
  • wash the dishes from last night

Until later…

I am envious of your art abilities! While I love scrapbooking, I’ve always wanted to paint, or sketch. Unfortunately, God didnt bless me with those skills

I used to love my art class in high school. After reading your entries I’m considering taking a class myself. It was just so relaxing…even if I wasn’t that good at it.

I think my bread machine is about the same as yours. I have been really pleased with it. Can’t use is too often though because of all those calories.

I too am envious of your abilities and talents. I think it is totally cool that you want to take more classes at a college level. When I went back to school to graduate when I was 28/29 a woman sat next to me in three history classes and she was 72 years old. When she was ill in the hospital, I recorded the classes and transcribed the notes for her. She was fantastic and I admired her greatly

I get my days and nights mixed up too. lol Easily done. 😉
