Laundry Day

Here it is at 1:15 on Monday and I am having a productive day.

Things done so far:

  • washed and dried three loads of clothes. The last load is drying.
  • done an hour’s tutoring with Robin.
  • washed dishes and tidied kitchen
  • stripped and remade bed

Things still to be done:

  • put away clean clothes piled on the table
  • get last load from the dryer and put them away
  • follow Fred out to the place where his car is going to be worked on and bring him back
  • fit in a walk sometime before dark.

Whenever I go anywhere with Fred and we have to get on the Interstate, he goes round a couple of back streets and then across two lines of traffic {with no traffic light to let him cross} to get onto the Interstate. I asked him today since I was following him  out there on this trip this afternoon would he please not go that way because I get nervous enough when I ride with him. I would hate to follow someone to a place I have never been before and have to start by doing that! Well, as it turns out, we are going in the opposite direction so although we still have to cross traffic to turn left, we at least have a green arrow to tell us when it is safe! Unfortunately, it seems that when we go this afternoon, we will have rain! but we have no choice. it has to be done today!

When I went to tutor Robin this morning, the first job was to look at her essay. Before she handed it over, she commented that she had read it over after printing it and she was surprised at the number of errors she had caught. I was surprised also. All she had missed were two misspelling of the hear/here and their/there type! There was also one place where I suggested she might want to split an extremely long sentence into two shorter one but basically, she had done a very good job.

She also mentioned that contrary to what she had said before, she did need me to tutor her during her summer classes. She will be paying me {rather than the college} so we will have to talk about this. Also, I want to have a fixed day or days and a fixed time. This “when do you want me to come again” routine is not working for me. I need predictability!

Ok, I hear Fred coming in. {He went out to give a blood sample before his regular visit to the doctor  next week.} I have to get the last load out of the dryer and then, I guess, we will be off…

Until later…

I always print off a hard copy and the typos jump out. I miss tons reading on the screen.

If I bag up my laundry and send it…..will you do it? I’ll trade you something! LOL

I would definitely want the set time schedule with her too.

Laundry day here today also. Yes a set schedule would be much nicer for you for tutoring.

I get nervous on interstates, too. And yea….why not go the way that lets you have a green arrow?? I prefer safety!! Men do not seem to understand that concept at times. I hope all goes well; maybe the rain will wait ’til you get home. hugs, Weesprite

That is a lot done already today!

Love the Bread Machine photo for your profile! Pat gets me nervous when he’s driving. To my knowledge, he’s never had an accident (except a really bad one, along time ago, where a truck hit HIM), but I keep feeling like he’s just on the edge of one. I think I’m just getting more nervous as I get older.

I wanted to take a minute and just apologize… I haven’t left you a ‘real’ note in awhile. I have been reading each entry you’ve written… I’m just in my own head these days. I hope you are doing well… it seems as though you are from what I’ve read. Take care.

You make me feel like I slack

I have a friend who refuses to turn left. She does the most convoluted driving schemes to get where she’s going by only making right-hand turns! LOL!

I love teaching and tutoring it is the most rewarding experience! I teach piano to a 10 year old girl, and she has such a knack at playing. It’s such a pleasureable thing to teach her and watch her flourish as a student! p.s. Good job with the washing I’m always behind with mine… *grumbles*
