EDIT ADDED: A Question

EDIT:

Ok, I didn’t make myself clear. I need to have the HTML thingy {TAG?} spelled out for me AND be told where to put it so that I can change it easily…

I have a question. How would I put a non-OD color or design for the background here in this space I am writing in now? I know this can be done because I have seen other diaries with a different background for every entry.

I am assuming this is an HTML tag?

I have been looking at the source code of other people’s diaries but I can’t figure it out.

My guess would be that I would have to have the background –say the bread one I have over on the left –stored somewhere then put in somewhere a link to it?

Any help would be much appreciated….

I’ll be looking at the notes you get on this, because I have wondered the same thing, myself. I tried to do it once, but whatever I did, didn’t work. So perhaps this will end up helping both of us! Here’s wishing you a lovely day. hugs, Weesprite

I couldn’t figure it out so I asked LilyCat for some help. She used a ULR tag. Other than that I don’t really know! Have a wonderful week 🙂

Oh my goodness, I have botched this so badly! If you would like to look at the way LilyCat set up my page I’d be happy to give you my password to take a look. Just give me a yell. Dianne

Yes. You need to have it stored somewhere (like photobucket.com) and then access it. If you want it as the background for all entries (I haven’t checked), is there a place in the diary maintenance section where you can access it, like the design on your margine? If not, you would have to insert a bgsource code into your text.

I’m not sure, but I’d guess you have to but the HTML code for a background on your entry. Have you tried that?

Wish I had the answer…but this is one of those issues I have elected NOT to figure out! lol

Try body background=”http://yourfilename.jpg” with the brackets around it. You should switch to the html view (which I think in this new editor is called “source” or something like that) to do it. Hope it works.

Hmmmm…. I just tried it on my diary, and it worked in editor mode, but not when I saved. let me think on this a minute….

Wow, this is a question for someone with a far higher pay grade then me. 🙂

D’oh!!! Okay, go to diary maintenance-then go to Diary Style then Background then click on the link at the top that says “choose and Image” or something like that, then at the bottom of THAT page, there’s a box where you type in the url of your image and that will change your body background image.

didn’t see this earlier, but the last note (above mine) is correct. That’s how you put it there.
