Shuffle

the shuffle is a little bigger than a pack of gum. This is what an iPod shuffle looks like. It is a little bigger than a pack of gum.

It is amazingly easy to set up. I didn’t even have to install the ITunes CD since I already have it on my laptop for the bigger iPod. I plugged the little Shuffle into the USB port on the side of my laptop and very quickly it had loaded over a 100 songs randomly from my library of music. I left it plugged in for a couple of hours while it charged the battery up. And now I am reclining on the bed listening to what it chose for me!

In reading the directions, I see I can actually choose which songs I want or let it do its default which is random. Another choice is to check the box that tells it to pick first from the most highly rated  music. {You can rate the songs by clicking on one to five stars.} Also, on the Shuffle itself is the choice of play straight through as the music was put on the Shuffle or the songs can be played in random order.

What I like about it:

  • It hangs round my neck on a lanyard. I had a case for the other iPod which had a useful clip on it but a couple of weeks ago, the clip broke off so I had to carry the whole thing in my hand or in my pocket.
  • The battery will keep it playing for 12 hours. {The other iPod which is a second generation has a battery that will play for 8 hours}
  • It cost $99 plus tax}
  • It is—there is no other word for it–so CUTE!
  • The controls are very easy to access and use.

Until later…

Don’t even know what an iPod is ! LOL

April 26, 2005

.. not even sure I want to know – I’m not even up to having a proper camera yet !

April 26, 2005

oooh, I want one!

April 26, 2005

: ) *huggs*

That is really a neat thing. So much better than clipping a big cd player to a belt, and being confined to ONE CD. Would be great for walking.

Once again you’re on the cuttin edge 🙂

April 26, 2005

gotta love it. I couldn’t believe when Rich brought his home how SMALL it is. But then, its like a small hard drive that plugs into the USB port (I forgot what they call them, and I have one like that). Pretty cool. He won’t let me touch it though 🙂

April 26, 2005

I think Lizzie needs one of those. 🙂

April 26, 2005

LOL~ You are SUCH an addict!!! I LOVE it! MY mother has never even bothered to master the VCR, let alone her computer, or an ipod. I think you’re the BOMB!!! Love to you! ~M

April 26, 2005

Thats pretty intense. Amazing, it is. And under a 100? Damn, now I want one…

April 26, 2005

No…. and thank you, but it was in pretty small font size. I love you too.

This sounds good! So cute! And so efficient.

Something small around your neck that plays music? Waay cool. I hate messing with my portable cd player when I walk.

It is cute! I’m glad it was so simple to operate!

April 27, 2005

That is CUTE

April 27, 2005

It’s adorable! And for $99, a steal!

You are so skinny, you could blow away in a windstorm, sweet lady! I am so proud of you. I love that I-Pod too. 🙂 Hugs and kisses,

April 27, 2005

Oh my god, I have to have one of these. The price is right and it would work great when I go to the gym. That is so cool! Do I have to have a Ipod first though?

April 27, 2005

I’m jealous. I want one–but then I know I would have little use for it. I just want it because everyone else has it! The one thing that keeps me from getting a shuffle is the total randomness of it and not able to choose what music I want to listen to at a particular time.

April 27, 2005

((((huuuugggg)))) thanks, Patrisha. I’m going to stop beating myself up. There are too many things to feel good about. 🙂 Here’s wishing you a beautiful day! Weesprite

i love the delight you have in your new toys! glad it’s easy to use. take care,

Oh, that looks/sounds like fun!

April 27, 2005

RYN: Well, it’s not always easy but I’m working that in. I don’t have Dill every day so those days I have no problem getting sleep. Also my days off from the store are midweek, so that helps. And weekends I can sleep days. It’s not ideal but I’m hoping to at least make it until summer when I probably won’t have any or many kids coming during the days. 🙂

April 28, 2005

Oh cool. I’m sure my husband will want one of those. RYN: If I do work with children I would certainly chant with them. I just didn’t see the point of grown adults chanting heh to our teacher heh 🙂 Maybe I was just cranky.
