Wednesday Afternoon

This afternoon I got out all my summer tops and shorts and my light long-sleeved tops and put away all my winter sweaters. This means, of course, the temperatures immediately dropped and it is cold and raining! Fortunately, I DO have lots of light cardigans and jackets I can layer. I put together a bag of sweaters and one of tops and shorts and advertised them on Freecycle. I have had requests already but I am not getting excited because sometimes people don’t pick stuff up. Oh, and someone on Freecycle was asking for plastic packing peanuts and we have lots of these. She is coming to pick them up tomorrow! {I hope, I hope!} I managed to get in one walk today but by the time I got round to the second on, it was cold and rainy and windy so I needed very little persuasion to abandon that  idea!

This morning with an absolutely straight face Fred told me that he was going to have to move out. I looked at him in surprise but all was made clear when he told me there was no more gingerbread! LOL I have to get up before 9 am tomorrow to get the boxes of plastic peanuts downstairs for the Freecycle woman to pick up so I will make the gingerbread then.

So, tomorrow:

  • make gingerbread from scratch
  • carry boxes of plastic peanuts downstairs and leave them out front
  • go to the library and get more books
  • tutor Robin from 3 to 4 pm
  • continue going through my closet and purging for Freecycle.

Until later…

I love Freecycle when people actually come to pick things up.. I am pretty shocked at how many people just blow it off.. Right now I have 2 almost new rollerblades that will fit kids between the ages of 10-12.. You’d think there would be a huge response, but no one has followed through. grrr. I’m taking them to the Goodwill tomorrow.

Ouch, no more gingerbread. A crisis indeed. 🙂

Hey..that’s a nice freecycle give. Those peanuts are expensive! I hoard them with my life!

I need to do that, go through everything and sort out things, and then store the winter stuff away. It’s a project that never seems to get done. We still haven’t cooled off yet down here, and it is rather sweltering tonight…
