Walking

It is a lovely Vermont spring morning again. I just got back from a walk and this afternoon I am seriously considering taking my bike out for a spin around the neighborhood.

I started out with walking music which is timed at 3 miles per hour and did pretty well until I got to the hill that leads up to the school’s walking track. Mind you, I can tell from the aches in my butt muscles that though I have  been walking regularly all winter, I have not been walking at 3 mph! What is great is that what I am feeling is muscle ache and not the arthritic hip pain. When I got to the hill leading up to the school, I changed from timed walking music to my collection of Steeleye Span music. Nice to listen to and I could walk at a slower pace. I am going to play the timed walking music every morning for a while so I can get back to the level I was.

One of my tulips in the tiny little area outside the front door is showing color. Later I will take a picture. In fact, I saw several signs of spring this morning that I would like to take pictures of, so this afternoon, if I don’t take my bike out, I will walk with my camera deliberately looking for signs of spring.
