Notes & Comments
Your list of duties amuses me……what do you do in between all that??? LOL hugs and smiles [polz]
You get a lot done–I’m impressed–I have whole days when I feel I accomplish nothing. [Lily47]
Now, this is where I have to say that my to-do lists are just that–things that need to be done, not things I am going to do. Having said that, I do try to get at least one job a day done so I can feel productive. In fact my lists of what I have actually done are often made so I can feel productive when I suddenly realize it is the end of the day and wonder what I have done with this day I will never get back.
What kind of flowering plant did Fred bring home? Got me curious. [woman in the moon]
I have no idea what it is, but here is its picture. He bought this plant because he knows I prefer growing plants to cut flowers and because he liked the colors because they are “Eastery.”
How do you store earrings so you can see them? I’ve not found a good solution yet! [Kate D.]
This is what I use. It does not normally live outside. I took it out there onto the balcony because the light is better. {You can see the end of our snow in the background}
I’m glad you don’t have renal cancer anymore. My step-mom had thyroid cancer, so I know what it’s like to deal with that whole thing.
[Ms.Tinkerbell]
Not only do I no longer have renal cancer {1998} but I also no longer have endometrial cancer {2000} too! The renal cancer was discovered serendipitously when I was in hospital for excruciating back pain which turned out to be a herniated disk. This was fixed by two injections of cortisone which for me was a real wonder drug. No surgery and no more pain! The renal cancer was cured by removal of the left kidney.
The endometrial cancer was a little more difficult to “cure.” {I put this in quotes because I have not yet–not quite–been five years cancer free.} The endometrial cancer had “microscopically” infected two lymph nodes in my left groin so as well as surgery–removal of all reproductive parts which I was no longer using anyway–I also had a course of radiation. All the checkups since have been good.
Have you tried looking on the internet to see if you can download the drivers you need?

Now here is a perfect example of Great Minds Thinking Alike! If I had read back in my notes a little sooner, I wouldn’t have had to have come up with that idea because you would have given it to me yet again. {I remember when you told me to look on line for instructions for my portable CD player and I did, and you solved my problem that time, too! }
how did you lose all that weight & eat all that bread ? [MidLife MakeOver]
I make the bread but have to be fairly strict with myself about eating it. I try {and mostly succeed} to restrict myself to two slices a day. I count this as 260 calories. {“Overestimate food calories; underestimate exercise calories.” was the advice given by the University of Vermont weight-loss facilitator when we were talking about making estimates as we wrote down everything.}
This has been fun!
Until later…
That’s a gorgeous chrysanthemum. I think they’re called “spider chyrsanthemums”, but I might be wrong. The colour is lovely. I, too, prefer live flowering plants, although I’m not as good about ‘putting them out in the garden when they’re done’ as I should be. And I adore your earring holder!

I love that you have a whole entry dedicated to answering notes!! I love the flowering plant and now want one of my very own to remind myself that someday summer will be here

RYN: Did the Easter Bunny come to your house? 🙂 Glad I could cause a giggle. My Mom kept laughing too. Don’t you people get the seriousness of this matter??? *wink*
Warning Comment
ryn: Perhaps the Vermont Easter Bunny has taken over things for me since he knows I’ll be moving to Vermont! You’re brilliant. 🙂

I loved this entry. That is an amazing ear ring holder and nice to see the plant you received as well. It is nice to share with others. Love the way, you answered your notes and thanks for noting me.
Warning Comment
I remember that too. What would you do without me???? 😀

The flower is beautiful, I received an azailya and it’s so pretty. Not sure if it will live or not though. I have never had one and I do pretty well with plants.

I like your earring solution! I have mine in little storage trays — it’s the only way to keep the cats from carting them off as ‘prey’! I have to admit that I am very happy to see the snow going away. Can’t wait for spring and the scent of new violets.

Love your pictures. The question and answer thing is fun!

Wow, what a lovely way to store your earrings. 🙂

I had no idea you had survived so many cancers… you’re a strong woman, not only in all the things you had to deal with ,but all the things you do for other people….

Thanks for the pictures and information. A spoon petaled chrysanthemim – boy do I have to concentrate to spell that word – and your lovely earrings – thanks a lot. And thanks for telling us about your cancer also – you are a brave woman – and you give maturity a good name. I’m glad your entries are back.

I love the earring holder thing. 🙂 And we still have a lot of snow here. 🙂

I also was about to identify your plant as a spider chrysanthramum…they are wonderful plants. When it finishes flowering you can plant it outside in your garden ( in a full sun area)…they can thrive outside and grow quite bigm, flowering each season. Enjoy! Thanks for all your answers…..have a productive day today and tomorrow too. muchest lovest

Patrisha, I love the pictures, particularly the display of earrings!! I, being also a TO DO list maker, can totally relate. I may not do it all, but it’s there before me, guiding me on! Love, Anna
