Sunday
Well, here it is at the end of the day and I am wondering what I have done with the day.
I got up late again even though I went to bed fairly early—well, 11-ish but I slept right through until ten this morning. By the time I had got up, had coffee, washed the dishes and done all the other stuff I do in the morning, there was not enough time to go for a walk before going for my scheduled massage. Actually, there was but I chose not to rush it. I had to go downstairs, clean the snow off my car and see if it would start. I was pleasantly surprised to see the sunshine had melted the snow and the car started immediately despite the fact that since Fred has gone back to getting groceries my car hasn’t been out. These days, if I can’t walk there, I don’t go! So, off I went for my massage which was a good as it always is.
I got home, had something to eat and then went for a walk. When I had come home from the massage, I had not been able to turn into my street at the end I usually turn in because a police car was blocking it and there was a fire truck there too, so now I walked down to check out what was going on. On the corner there is a big building of apartments for seniors and disabled people. Robin, the woman with the traumatic brain injury whom I tutor, lives there, but I wasn’t worried about her because the smoke was coming from a first-floor apartment and she is on the fourth floor. Anyway, it all turned out to be a rather dramatic storm in a teacup with minimal damage and no one hurt. I guess the police turnout was because so many people live in the building.
So, I finished my walk rather quickly since it was brutally cold and came home to the warm apartment. I am really looking forward to going to the Sunny South in a couple of weeks. They have warmth and sunshine there and we have snow and more snow forecast tomorrow. Bah!
Tomorrow:
- Wash and dry laundry
- Call Robin and ask if there is anything special she wants to work on tomorrow. {This is so I can make a worksheet if I need to.}
- Go for two walks {if it isn’t snowing too hard}
- Call the person who inspects my car every year and make an appointment.
- Go on line and activate my new Amex card before the month ends.
- Put the ingredients for a loaf into the bread machine.
- Make gingerbread.
Until later…
Glad to read Fred is feeling well enough to buy groceries. Claire

We got 8″ of snow yesterday, the most we have gotten all year I believe. So it is probably coming your way. We can look at it this way, spring is in a month.
