Still Snowing Here

Fred just asked if I was going out for a walk tomorrow. Without missing a beat, I said I was. He asked if I had heard or seen the forecast to which my answer was I didn’t care if it was continuing snowing all day tomorrow too–I WAS going out! He actually needs insulin and I often use the fact that he needs something from the drug store as a reason to go out in the afternoon. It has been a horrid day where I have been stuck in the house all day and have overeaten, too!

I finally got the paperwork from the Community College so I can get paid for tutoring Robin. Most of it I can fill out and send back but I actually have to go over there and produce documentation to prove I am who I say I am! It is rather funny really. There are three columns of choices and since I am not a citizen, one of mine has to be my “green” card. Well, that will have to wait until I can get out and drive. Which means, of course, when it stops snowing. If it ever stops snowing!

I finally got around to asking Fred how he felt about me leaving for two weeks and going to see my children in Mississippi, and, as I was quite aware, I am more concerned about it than he is! So, now I have to get in touch with my older son and choose dates that are ok for him since I will be staying at his house and using his truck while I am there. Actually, what I have to do is ask if I can use his truck. I am pretty sure I can, but if not, I must see to renting a car since Mississippi is a big state and they {as did I when I lived there} live out in the boonies. The great thing about the South, besides the fact that my two sons live there, is that they have sunshine@ And in March, spring will be there. {I have experienced a white St. Patrick’s Day in the going-on-six years I have been in Vermont!}

Ok, I am off to watch “I, Claudius” Episodes 4, 5 and 6 now.

Until later…

I loved that series.

It’s been a cold winter, even in Texas….

ryn: I think moms and wives are programmed to panic, aren’t we? See there? All is well about you visiting your children. Make plans and enjoy!

oh the green card reference – makes me think of you and Fred as Andie McDowell and Gerard Depardeau – guessed at spelling of both names –

Men seem to be alot more relaxed about things than woman.

Wow, how much snow do you have? We’ve had a very springlike week (even though most everyone is sick). Going to The South for a week or so in March sounds greeeeeeeat. It might be just the vacation you need after all you’ve been through for the past months! hugs, Weesprite

I am looking for this movie at my library. I am going today so I hope I can find it. I think it would be good for me to watch. Hugs!!

It was March when I first visited Liz in Georgia – I was amazed by the weather. 🙂

I want to know the origin of the word “boonies,” or “boondocks,” is that where it comes from? I really like it, anyway. If I thought of you all the time, Patrisha, I would think, “Patrisha goes walking in the snow and she lives in Vermont, so what are you complaining about Stacey?” I’ll try to remember that next time I don’t feel like walking.

RYN:I think the end of this month. *crosses fingers* My new lease would start May 1st, but they said they would want me to move apartments the last week in April. I cannot wait!

Ha! Don’t get too excited about the “sunny” south! We have had about 4 dyas of sunshine in the past month! It actually got colder when the sun peeked out (today and yesterday), but it is SO much better! I’ll take sunny and cold over warmer and overcast (or rainy) almost always! I hope your planning goes well… I know how much you love planning a trip.. ~ Carrie
