So Far Today

Fred has not been doing well today. He didn’t sleep well because he was out of one drug that he takes to help with diabetic neuropathy and which also  helps him sleep. He had called in the prescription but what with one thing and another, I didn’t get up to the drug store to get it yesterday. He got up and checked his blood and ate some toast but went back to bed immediately after that. He stayed in bed all morning and asked me to bring him the thermometer. He didn’t have a temperature. *I* think he just over-exerted himself yesterday.

So far today I have done the following:

  • Gone for a 45 minute walk
  • Went to the drugstore at the end of that walk and got Fred’s missing drug.
  • Scanned and defragged my computer which was becoming abyssmally slow. It is fine now.
  • Made brownies {it was a mix} They are cooling right now and they smell wonderful.
  • Washed the dishes from last night and this morning. {Since I am less anxious these days, I am becoming less compulsive about cleaning up! LOL}
  • Talked to Nikki the visiting nurse on the phone. She will evaluate Fred’s oxygen level when she comes in again {Thursday or Friday} and then maybe we can get this oxygen apparatus out of here.

Later today I plan to:

  • Watch my new Netflix DVD which is more of “Cracker” with Robbie Coltrane
  • Walk at least 15 minutes on the treadmill while watching “Cracker.”  {This means I will have to do this before I run out of energy–in the next 30 minutes or so}
  • Remind Fred that Jean, the physical therapy woman, will be coming tomorrow.
  • Very possibly vacuum {but no promises on this one.} If I do, I want to start with  the bedroom floor.

Until later…

Sorry to hear Fred had a bad night, but with his meds he will probably catch up on sleep tonight! I’m so glad you got a 45 minute walk in today. I enjoyed the questionnaire, and answered it in one of my entries. hugs, Weesprite

Brownies, yum. Oh — if you like ATK (Cooks Illustrated), the fellow who hosts the show will be doing an appearance/signing at Manchester Center (?) soon. I thought you might like that. Poor Fred, and especially poor you — I can only imagine what it must be like as I go bonkers when I run out of meds.

I hope tomorrow is a better day for Fred.

I like that you write these lists and actually do the things on them!

Like your new color scheme. Hope Fred gets to feeling a little more peppy tomorrow.

Patricia, thank you so much for your very supportive note on my shredding those pictures. I did a rash thing and it can’t be undone. But, now as I read your note I get teary eyed. I feel your understand about my ‘gut feeling’, and I’m grateful for your thoughts on that.

I hope Fred gets back to feeling peppier. You do a wonderful job with your exercise routine!

My hubby has neuropathy in his feet, and legs, almost up to the knee. He’s not diabetic though, something no doctor can explain. My thoughts, and prayers are with the both of you. Take care okay.
