Yea!

I went to our local Unicel  office a few minutes ago and my problem was competently explained and solved by a very smart young lady.

The minute I had finished telling her what the problem was, she said, “I bet I know what caused that.” and she gave me two reasons. The first one reason might have been  that the expiration card on the credit card had been reached. I drag out the credit card, and no, it wasn’t that.

“Ok,” she says cheerfully. “Do you know if your bank was off line any time on the first?”

AHA! Yes, indeedy! It was as I complained about not being able to transfer my money from my personal account to the partner account on that day. So, that was what it was. The automatic deduction had tried to kick in on that day and the bank site was down. She told me that the program would try again after 5 pm on the first business day {today} after a holiday. I was just unfortunate and had fallen through the cracks. She told me that if it ever happened again, to call 611 which was the help line and someone would sort it out for me. She told me this was like a 800 number in that it would not count against my minutes.

So, I did NOT ask for a complaint form because it was no one’s fault–just an unfortunate juxtaposition of circumstances. I am happy. I have a working cell phone again!

I’m glad it all got sorted out. If she was really nice, she should have given you a free month for your inconvenience. But at least she was helpful.

Isn’t it great to get those little things sorted out and off your chest? Ahhh..relief!

So frustrating all this computer stuff! I did a ton of shopping at Target and my debit card got declined. I found out that the afternoon’s transfers hadn’t processed at the bank because they had computer problems! AHHHHGH!

May all of your problems be so easy to solve.

That explains it all. I have worked at banks and we get the same thing especially at the end of the year. I use the 611 number alot on my cell phone. You get a real person and it’s not charged against you. Two big pluses.

Falling through the cracks. That’s life I guess, glad your cell phone is working again. 🙂

I am glad it all worked out 🙂

January 3, 2005

Thank goodness that someone got it figured out for you .

January 3, 2005

Yay! I’m always happy when I get to the bottom of something, even if it takes away my reason to be angry. It sounds like you feel the same. I’m glad that your phone is working again – that is not the kind of thing you want to just cut out, especially since you have it largely for emergencies!

Wooohooo! Isn’t it great when you go in to rip someone to pieces and then it turns out so well? I like that, but then feel like I wasted all my energy and well thought through conversation I had in mind 🙂 Good for you!

Yay! And hooray for a smart, competent, helpful person! Those are few and far between these days.

It is so good to talk to a real live person AND one who is interested in helping you. That makes for a good day.
