Saturday Very Early
Yesterday was very odd. I felt lethargic all day. That is very unusual for me because although the lethargy creeps in about 4 pm, I usually wake in the morning full of energy. Anyway, I took a nap about 2 pm {again, very unusual for me} and much to my surprise, I felt better. Naps don’t usually work for me. I feel dizzy and grumpy after I get up and they also destroy my night’s sleep as this one did. I stayed up until midnight and then slept until 5 am.
Out with the old and in with the new! As it happens, I am not referring to the New Year but to mail programs. I have been using Eudora and liked it so much that I even went for the paid version. But recently on this computer it has been gagging on mail and hanging up. It works beautifully still on the laptop and it has just occurred to me that this machine has Win 98 SE and the laptop has XP. That may be the problem? I dunno! Anyway, this morning I downloaded Pegasus and Eudora is history.
I used to use Pegasus a long time ago but when I went with Verizon, they told me that the mail program I used had to have a place where “authorized” could be checked and the version of Pegasus I then had did not seem to have that feature. Of course, being as slow on the uptake as I seem to be at times, I didn’t think of upgrading. Instead, I tried other mail programs and finally settled on Eudora. Now I am back to Pegasus again and it worked beautifully. I sent myself a test email to my other address which is set to forward all email to the main address and the mail arrived.
To Do today:
- Go for a walk. I didn’t walk at all outside or on the treadmill yesterday. This is a lapse. I will not let it be a relapse.
- Go to get groceries. This was on my list for yesterday but I felt too tired, I just couldn’t be bothered.
- Go back to the bank on line and transfer money from my personal account to the partner account. This morning at 5 am, the bank site was down for maintenance—well, the transfer part of it was. Normally I love online banking, but not when it is down!
- Watch “Master and Commander.” I finished “House of Cards” last night and really enjoyed it.
- Maybe clean out the refrigerator? This is one of the tasks on the constantly evolving “To Do Sometime in the Future” list.
Happy New Year to everyone who reads here…
Until later…

Thanks for the note. I might put the hedgehogs back, but I was feeling like I needed a change and I’m all about Muse at the moment. Darkshines and Space Dementia are titles of two of their songs.
