Tonight

I am ready. I have money, three books {all paperbacks and I think I will only take two} and my keys and Ipod are on the table by my purse. The cell phone is charging and there is a card in my purse with the phone numbers of a taxi firm {for coming home} and Fred’s two daughters for sending news.

Fred is getting ready. He has made three bathroom trips and is drinking lots of water and juices. He knows he takes his medications in the morning before he leaves and takes his insulin with him. He can drink no more than a sip of water with his medications in the morning. I must remember to make coffee only for myself.

A cab is coming for us at 11 am.
