Bits and Bobs

Fred is off buying groceries. This is what lures him from the house.

There is nothing on TV worth looking at.

I have eaten a handful of malted milk balls and two handfuls of salted nuts. I will be sorry for this later. Calories? What calories? {innocent blink}

I didn’t do any programmed exercise today but walked 3,482 steps. Back to 3 miles a day tomorrow.

I have a hotpad plugged in under my slippered feet.

Until Fred has his surgery, and we find out if he needs chemo, our lives are on hold.

Everyone who has mentioned that they have a Dyson vacuum cleaner has said it does an excellent job. My sister also says it does an excellent job, but she would never buy another because Dyson moved his factory to India.  I still want one. However, I need to measure our storage space to make sure we have room for the one I want.

Tomorrow I will write a check for the parking ticket I got today and pack up the book I am going to send to Dagnabbit. Walking down to the Post Office can be part of my programmed exercise.

I feel restless and impatient. I think it is because I did not go for my usual walks today. I am addicted to walking and if I don’t do it, I feel physically bad. Or it could be that I am not sleeping well. I sleep but only on a very shallow level, I feel.

I am back to getting my New York Times headlines in an email every morning. And talking about that paper, I sent a polite letter of complaint because they have started using huge popup adverts that totally block what I am reading and are not caught by Popup Blocker {Free from http://www.panicware.com. } I was amazed to get an answer from a real person. Of course, he did not tell me that they would stop but he did say that they were arranged that they would only open one time for each subscriber and this is true. Once I have closed it, that is the last I see of  that particular type. Of course, the usual embedded ones are still there, but they are easy to avoid.

I saw some fennel-flavored lip-salve today. If it hadn’t been so expensive, I would have bought it. I love the taste of fennel. I also tried some pamplemousse-scented lotion. Isn’t that a lovely word? {I hope I have spelled it correctly} It is grapefruit. I must go back to that shop called The Soap Dish.

Ok, that’s it, for now.

Nothing here to see.

Move along, please…

*huggs* Both you and Fred are in my prayers. I was going to walk today until the Back-stabbing “friend” started calling me harrassing me re: the truck. I did not feel safe leaving the house.

LOL! Love your closing line. **Moving along…**

I love grapefruit scent. Do you remember who made the lotion?

hm…fennel?

I loves me my Dyson. I’m not sure I’d love fennel flavored lip balm though.

Alas, grapefruit isn’t one of my favorites, but I do like that word, something so exotic about it.

Would yu believe that a great many of the uk call centres have been moved to India, it is a weird experence talking to someone in India about something local, i usally hang up, it is useless. It sounds cold there. the more exercise i do the more i seem to need on furture days, or the faster my body needs to go. Part of survial i think Best Wishes

Yes, that shop is very dangerous for the budget. Next time I’m going to buy the purple formaldehyde-free nail polish.

Pamplemousse is a pet-name between one of my friends and myself. “Mon petite pamplemousse” 🙂
