Snow!

I woke up this morning to snow falling and no Internet! These two events were not connected as I discovered when I unplugged all the connections and plugged them up again. I don’t know how connections becaome loose except, of course for entropy. Anyway, I replugged everything and rebooted my computer and Lo! here came the Internet.

For some reason this morning so far I am full of energy. Fred of course, attributes it to the fact that I am sleeping late these days and he may well be right. It was 10 am this morning when I got out of bed and got dressed. So far, I have washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, put together a gingerbread mix, taken it out of the oven and eaten the corner piece {called “cook’s perks”} and put together a bread recipe from scratch but done in the bread maker. I have decided that what *I* want to eat tonight is spagetti with meatballs and fresh bread and salad. This is very easy since we use the sauce in a jar and the last time I made meatballs from scratch, I froze half of them. There is already a salad made in the refrigerator since I did that last night.

Reading all your notes about Fred’s little fit of temper made me realize you are all probably correct and I am glad I said nothing. Of course, he is entitled to be a bit snappy while awaiting surgery and I think I only reacted the way I did because I, too, was feeling irritable! I should have gone home when he asked me if I wanted to. Anyway, I am glad that I said nothing. Mind you, if he makes a habit of snapping at me, I will comment. Stress or no stress, I don’t take that.

The 30 minute walk this morning was lovely. The temperature is 28 drgrees and by the time I got out, the snow had stopped falling and all I was getting was the occasional blob falling from the trees. I walked for 30 minutes and mostly on the roads because the sidewalks are not cleared as yet. I needed to dig out the orange safety-vest I bought last year. I saw another walker out on the road and he was wearing one which reminded me about mine. And, as I was telling Fred this morning, last year I had a horrible time trying to find a face-mask. I finally had to go online to a camping place and order one. Yesterday when I was in the mall, I saw a whole table full of them at J.C. Penney’s! Maybe I will make another trip over there and get one. Mine is dull boring black. The ones at Penney’s weren’t madly cheerful, but they did have some green ones.

Now, I have got to deal with some paperwork I should have dealt with a week ago. I HATE paperwork and I know it is going to be one of those things that get done in 15 minutes once I settle down to do it!

Until later…

Thanks on you advice for the Sonicar. I just noticed on Kohls.com that they have a great deal on them this weekend. I guess I will pick one up. I like the idea that it shuts off after 2 minutes. Thanks again.

Now that I am not working, I have no excuse but to start walking. Your entries always make me feel like getting outside and breathing fresh air while I stretch my legs.

yeah, if he continues to be snappy towards you, you certainly should say something. not snowing here just yet. but, soon, they say. take care,

You shouldn’t tolerate being snapped at on a regular basis, but you both are under a little stress right now with the impending surgery. I sometimes think not knowing is hard. I hope that you have a wonderful day! It didn’t snow down here, it was suppose to. Blessings.

Of COURSE you should say something if his grumpiness continues. Can’t get let him get TOO deep into that “poor me” mindset or it will affect his recovery. I applaud your still getting out and walking. I am such a wimp!

I got my son-in-law one of those face masks from Penneys; they are really nice! I am glad you got online…. glad you have snow too! I hope we get some, but in Delaware that’s always “iffy.” I do hope I will remember your “holding your tongue” and hope it might help me learn to hold mine once in awhile. It would do me good! Hope you have a great evening and scrumptious spaghetti! Weesprite

Ok……for The Fred…….go to the store and get some hard, sugarless candies…put them in a pretty little jar, labeled “Grumpy Pills” and hand them over to the man!!!!!!!! He’ll get the message, and you won’t have to say anymore than that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love ya! ~M

🙂

You should have bought the hat while you were there. Oh well, now you have an excuse to go back to the mall, and you can have a scoop of Ben and Jerry’s low fat raspberry ice cream. 🙂

We’ve had snow off and on for a month…last week most of it melted and we had rain. Waiting for more snow to fall.

Ah, snow! I miss seeing a lot of snow…I’m from New York originally, but live in North Carolina now. The winters are shorter, which I like, but I do miss snow from time to time.
