What Day Is It?

Ok, let me first think of what day it is and then what I did on this cold, wet Wednesday! I slept until 10:20 this morning and I went to bed around 10 last night, too. I took no Klonopin but I did sleep well.

I went for a 30 minute walk today because it was raining. I don’t like walking in the rain so I did the minimum walk. Every time I reached a place in the walk where to turn one way would be longer and to turn the other would be shorter, I opted for the shorter one. Oh well, that is why I have choices of which way to turn. I am not going to be down on myself just because I chose the shorter routes; I certainly did do the minimum 30 minutes.

This afternoon I got a call from the library that last month’s book club book was reserved for me! I told Lee that I didn’t need it now. She also mentioned that the children’s librarian had left me the paperwork for  a reading mentor program I am interested in and so I decided to walk over there, return my library books, pick up this paperwork and get something else to read. The first thing I found was that it is a good thing that I got Reading Lolita in Terhan from Amazon because Amanda had still done nothing about borrowing extra copies from other libraries despite all her talk. I told her I had bought it and that she didn’t have to worry {ha!} about me.

Then I chatted to Lee who was working and she got me the paperwork which the children’s librarian had left for me. It all seems pretty straightforward except I have to give the names and addresses of six people who have known me a year! Well, I can’t put these people down as references unless I ask them so I have talked to three of them and am waiting for call-backs from the other three. {Short pause here because one of them just called} I also left a message on my older son’s machine because I haven’t heard from him in so long. Actually, I will try him again later because I always forget he lives in the Central Time Zone and I live in the News-At-Eleven Time zone and he was probably still at work!

There was a tiny little panic here this afternoon because I had totally forgotten I had a dental appointment at 2 pm! I had just finished lunch and was unwrapping a Schwan’s fudge stick {50 delicious calories} when Fred said, “It is 1:45! Aren’t you supposed to be at the dentist’s at 2 pm?” Whoops! Put the fudge stick in the refrigerator, quick trip to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wish I had not eaten that salad with the onion in it, and I went flying out of the door! As I walked in, I saw Penni, the hygenist, sitting waiting for me which is unusual since I usually wait for her. Anyway, I apologized and she laughed and said I was only one minute late. I also apologized for the onion-breath! She made my day by asking if I had lost more weight since I was there six months ago and so I got to tell her I had. The whole trip took about an hour, cost me $85 and I now have sparklingly clean teeth. Actually, I do take care of my teeth. I have a Sonicare brush and I floss at least twice a day and very often more often.

Ok, I just saved this and noticed the date is still on yesterday. For some reason it does not update automatically for me unless I hit refresh! I do know it is December 1at even though my diary doesn’t.!

Until later…

OMG fudge when you were supposed to go to the dentist! Big oops. They always wear those masks…I always hope that makes them not able to smell anything. Because I’m paranoid about my breath.

The last time I was at the Dentist they recommeded that Sonicare toothbrush. HOw do you like yours? They are a bit pricey but I do want to keep my teeth forever.

After you save the entry the first time, you have to manually change the date in the little box or it won’t automatically post on the right date. I certainly understand about not wanting to walk in the rain (or the cold, either). Good for you on getting the 30 min. in!

Oh me, oh my, you remind me that I have a dental appt. coming up and I have not been diligent about flossing lately. You’re a good patient!

Woah you walk in the rain? Man, you have willpower. If it’s raining I think, “Well okay I don’t need to walk outside..” Heh I make too many excuses I think..

what i don’t like about walking here is that you never meet anyone, everyone else is driving, there are so few people to pass and say hi to. When i do see someone they have headphones on, so i also joined that club and play my iPod … i just found out (yeah i’m slow) that iTunes has audio books.

What model Sonicare do you have? I was wondering if there was a difference in styles? I guess I could always go online and check, it’s just nicer talking to someone with experience with it. Thanks
