Travel Tips Part Two

Ok, I am back and we had a lovely meal in air conditioning!

More travel tips. I think I got the numbering correct..

4. Take half as many clothes and twice as much money as you think you need. I really can get by with very few clothes even though I am going for three weeks because my sister and I wear the same sizes AND she has a washer and a dryer!

5. Take a few small gifts for people who will be hurt because you forgot them. My sister is getting chocolate fragrance candles {which she asked for} and I will be taking a few extras for those people I need to give a small gift from Vermont to.

6. Put a collapsible bag in your suitcase to bring back all the stuff you will buy {and, in my case, all the clothes I will talk my sister into lending me until she comes to Vermont again}

7. I have a nice big over-the-shoulder carry-on bag I use on the plane and for the trip but I have found it very useful to pack a small purse in my suitcase for daily stuff. The carry-on is too big to be used daily.

8. I have a special wallet with a change purse that I use for English momey. I leave my American dollars at my sister’s house. Incidentally, I get some VERY odd looks from sales clerks. I have the right accent but I stand there pathetically asking for help with the money.

9. Write down what you do each day AND the date you took photos of something. This is invaluable when you get the photos back {and for updating the OD journal}

This is my fourth entry for today! I am babbling… There will probably be no entry tomorrow {Yes, I hear the sighs of relief {insert grin here}} because Tuesday is my work day AND it is going to be hot again. I will probably carry my lunch and not try to walk home even though I live very near. I walked home from the Reptiles and Amphibians program and felt very dizzy and short of breath because of the heat.
