Cancer Thoughts 2

For me one of the worst parts of having cancer is the feeling that my body has let me down. I have ALWAYS been healthy, not a jock, but healthy. In a small way I was quite proud of the fact that I hadn’t had a cold for over 10 years despite the fact that I worked with children every day. {Of course, the fact that I had a box of tissues placed strategically on each of the four walls of my classroom helped a lot. There was no need for any seventh-grader to sneeze all over me or anyone else} And all the time, hidden in the darkness within, my body was growing malignant tumors… How can I ever trust it again?

that’s a tough one ((hugs))

One thing about cancer: It doesn’t discriminate. It hits the healthy and unhealthy alike. We can take steps to minimize our chances of getting certain types of cancer, but that’s about it.
