I’m sure there are other things you can kill the girl with- peanut anaphylaxis? Though how they didn’t find that death distressing for readers is weird. Well done, however. Fame and fortune next 🙂 And Congrats on course grades too!

Congratulations on your course grade.

The Trifecta! Thrilled for you about your short story! Good Luck! / Way to Go on those grades! No surprise to any of us here. Your assignments scared the daylights out of me, really challenging. / Had to sit down after reading the route from front to back of your place. I’d say you’ve easily clocked your 10,000 steps today! So add another coup to your list! Let the Good Times Roll, MargUK!!

Great news on the short story, your fantastic grade from the OU and having an altogether lovely day 🙂

Ah, “I know The People’s Friend” well – still read it from time to time. I get them 2nd hand when I see them, though only $3 or so to buy new here. It’s good to have on hand when you want something sweet to read. Good luck with the story .. could she die of diphtheria? Bitten by rabid dog? and could he not faint but maybe Albert could trip over something and bang his head? What fun! (Not forAlbert, of course.) Well done on your results … onward and upward!!

Yay for good things happening in 3’s and nearly a published tale. Good for you

Yes, if the sun shines it’s unusual enough to comment about it this Summer! Congratulations on passing your exam, and let us know if your article is published!

the question is, will you frame the cheque when you are published or cash it? 🙂

My late grandma used to buy People’s Friend. I never read any of it myself but I remember it always being in her house. It certainly sounds like they very well might accept the story anyhow. 🙂

congratulations all around!!

Oh, CONGRATULATIONS on the response to the story!! That does sound very VERY encouraging and like they are definitely considering publishing it. Very VERY good news! As is the excellent grade on your course! And the sunshine! I just googled scrimmer — we call them weed eaters. They are wonderful. Although I don’t think ours has been used all summer. Yay for Dylan Moran, too. I can’t getenough of Black Books, although I’ve not seen him in anything else.

what wonderful news on all three fronts! I remember looking through People’s Friend when I went visiting my father’s (maternal) grandmother. (I was fortunate enough to know three of my great-grandmothers). I do hope it gets published – and please tell me if it does as I want to buy a copy and brag to my friends here that I know a famous author! Well done again. Much friendship, A

you suddenly made me very grateful for my detached house which has no front lawn. 🙂 congratulations on the response. not sure how to make the fainting less distressing and the dying acceptable…weird. And congrats on the grade. Well done. Well on the move there. Great stuff.
