Upcoming projects

The weather has been wonderful lately. It’s been in the 60’s all week, and it appears those temps will continue through the weekend. I have the sudden urge to grill this weekend. I’ve only grilled out once last year, and I’m eager to grill steaks this weekend. I’ve looked at how-to articles and youtube videos, so I feel confident to give it a shot :-). I’ll need to clean the grill first though.

I’ll probably also throw on some hot dogs too. I also have an appointment with the vet tomorrow for Chip. Lately, he’s been licking his groin a lot more than usual. I’m hoping it’s nothing too serious.

The other project I’m working on, is booking our flight to Connecticut later this year. We’re having a family reunion the weekend of July 15th-18th in Hartford, CT. This also means I could possibly meet fellow ODer Karen,her husband Vic and *hopefully* newly-born Anthony *cross fingers*.

So far, there will be six of us going (4 adults and 2 children), and we’re looking at flights leaving Friday morning and coming back that Monday. It’s been over a decade since I was last on a plane, so I don’t have much clue in booking plane tickets. Is it better to book tickets asap, or is it better to wait until like April, May or June?

The cheapest tickets I’ve found were $1,400 for all of us, but we would have to drive to Charlotte and then fly to CT. I’ve looked into flying from Atlanta to Boston, to NYC, Providence, RI, and Hartford. I’ve even looked into flying from Birmingham, AL to the above airports.

We won’t have to book the hotel until June 21st at the latest. The plane tickets will be the most expensive thing for that weekend. I’ve looked at kayak, priceline, expedia, travelocity, etc. So any advice would be greatly appreciated :-D.
