Out of Control

Man, it seems like we’re having a little “Civil War” of sorts on OD. We have those who hate the DM and want to report him to the BBB; we have those who absolutely loves this site. I really have no idea what’s going to happen with this site, but I really hope it stays afloat.

It seems that every single diary either has a note or link to the latest happenings in OD. Like I said in my previous entry, I love this site. We have reader passwords, the option to block diaries, 7,500 word entry limit, and plenty of space for all of your HTML content. I can’t make this longer so I’m going to go.

well, from the perspective of a longtime opendiarist- 3 years, from back when the site was still pretty small- OD does offer a lot of advantages over FOD. the DM, however, hasn’t provided good, or even decent, technical support, and understandably, that upsets some people. he either needs to run the business side of this properly, or charge less and explain that he doesn’t fix problems (con’t)

in a timely manner, or sometimes, at all. i still haven’t had my notes transferred from FOD, after many, many emails, but i’m still here. personally, it’s a way of keeping in touch with my fiance, whom i coincidentally met on here, who’s currently overseas. and for me, that is important enough to ignore the crummy service.

RYN: yeah, it’s nice that I’ve been able to find a really great person on here… Actually, all the people I’ve met on here are absolutely awesome. They are just the greatest. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that anyone else I may meet will turn out just the same. I’m kind of border line on this subject… I love OD but sometimes I get very frustrated with it. I hope it stays afloat though.

I love it here.I just hope things don’t get too out of hand.
