An Assessment of This Year

This year has been a good year overall. There were a few things during the spring/summer that kind of had me down, but things turned out well.

I migrated to OD around January. At the time, Liz and I were dating but we weren’t the same. We didn’t talk as much as I would have liked but we ended up breaking up. Then, two days later, I dated one of Liz’s friends named Kelly. That was a big mistake because we dated for about 2 weeks before Britt warned me about Kelly’s true nature. Britt, Liz and myself blasted Kelly in a chatroom. Liz and I became closer but something happened and it led up to about two months of anger and frustration.

At the time, Kelly’s twin sister was diagnosed with cancer. She died but I didn’t get the chance to truly get to know her. Kelly came back on and said that she was going to London because of her obligation to marry her first love (that was a cover-up to the real reason she was going to London). I convinced her to stay and we started over. We dated for about a couple of weeks before I listened to my friends instead of talking to her. We broke up and she committed suicide. I felt like I was responsible for that whole ordeal.

One of Liz’s other friends was having problems with her husband. I convinced the two of them to talk and they are doing great now :-).

I met one of Liz’s friends, Lexi, and we had sooo much in common but she had a daughter. We wanted to date but we felt like we couldn’t. We ended up dating and had a pretty successful relationship but she had problems and couldn’t get on like she wnated. After that, summer began. The whole Liz situation had me down big time because I realized how big of a jerk I was. I did something about it and we’re doing great now.

My spring semester wasn’t bad at all. My family and I travelled more than we have in the past. We went to Tybee Island and Myrtle Beach (twice). We also attended two weddings. I also went to my old high school’s band camp to help out. I helped the drumline out by taking the cymbal players under my wing. I was soo thrilled when the drumline and the band got straight 1’s at the last competition.

We also got a new computer and flat screen for my old comp. My aunt helped me finance for my tuition which allowed me to go back to GSU for last semester. I was being extremely lazy and kept putting off filling out the renewal FAFSA for several months. I was like, “I’ll just do it next week” and it continued. I filled it out two weeks after the priority deadline. Fortunately, my aunt was there to help me out.

I have three awesome roomies :-). Three of us have PS2, and Grand Theft Auto Vice City :-P.

I got my 3rd degree black belt on October 19th, the same day Liz and I met again since that “Night” (I won’t detail what went on that night because my talking led up to the fights). Anyway, I got my driver’s license a couple of weeks ago. I also met some awesoem people on FOD/OD. On the flip side, the whole Beth thing kind of made me feel sick after what happened.

Looking back, this has been a really good year. I hope everyone will have a better year next year!
