My Weekend + Sickness

I had a great weekend minus the sickness; here’s a recap. After I finished updating, I hung around the house until my ride came to pick me up. Around 11, my neighbor, his wife and their son came to pick me up. While at Eastside, I helped to load up the equipment in the rental truck for the competition. I have helped load and unload the equipment most of the year now. Anyway, I got to ride with Mr. Johnson and we headed up to Hiram, GA for the competition.

Eastside competed in the Festival and Competition. The Festival portion is like the warm-up to the main course (Competition). Every year, the band has performed in both sections. The band did pretty well, but they could have improved. At competition, the band performed great and the scores reflected that. All across the board, the band received 1’s: drum major, colorguard, percussion, and three band scores. I had a fun time except I had to pay $6 to get in even though I was the equipment guy :-(.

I got home around 1 in the morning and my mom woke me up around 7 (I had forgotten to set my clocks back). I got up, but didn’t eat anything b/c I figured we were going ot leave pretty soon. However, we didn’t leave until almost 9. For most of the day, I felt like crap. I felt so bad, I didn’t want to get on the comp; I also didn’t want to go back to my dorm. I did take some alka-seltzer and that helped me to feel better. I did catch up on entries, but I didn’t feel like updating. For the rest of the evening, I spent lying down and trying to feel better. My sister gave me some pepto bismol and chicken noodle soup. I haven’t had chicken noodle soup in forever. That also reminded me of Beth because her nickname was “Chicken Noodle Feet”.

Anyway, I feel much better now and I’m going to wrap this up :-).
