Quick 9/11
Read that to see what I thought about 9/11 last year. Here are some more things that went through my mind. At the time, I was dating Liz and I wanted to go back down to her house sooo bad but she wanted to spend time with family. I understood so I turned my computer so I could face it while lying down. I remember calling my mom (or she called me I forgot) but I decided to stay up in Atlanta. That day made me think about the day Aaliyah died. I thought it was a joke until I saw the news on AOL.
Anyway, the university and the city of Atlanta were open the next day. In my GSU 1010 class, there were counselors there and we all talked about what happened. That weekend, I remember that there were no sporting events scheduled and it left a whole entertainment wise. Not many people know this, but the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), was the first indoor sporting event going on after September 11th. Actually, they started back the 13th of September.
It’s amazing that it has already been a year. Many things have happened that has allowed us to return to normal: Arizona Diamondbacks winning the World Series; New England Patriots winning the Super Bowl; Barry Bonds hitting home run #600; all the tributes and songs to America and I could go on. One interesting thing I heard this morning was that people are more inclined to talk to one another and feel like everyone is related. I certainly think that is the case. Also, we’re more inclined to say “I love you” or anything of the like to our relatives and friends. In short, I think our country has grown stronger since it happened.
I don’t think anyone would really have reurned to normal after this, I don’t think that there is any way people could do that. The thought of September the 11th is always somewhere in your mind.

Hmm, very, very interesting. We have grown stronger..I mean, it is sad that something like that had to happen to us for the U.S. to come together the way we did. That day was very fearful for me. I had many friends in the Army and Navy that I was terrified for. They had to go away, and one didn’t even come back until this past summer. It is sad what happened. But it made us realize that >>>

on last Monday, there were 300 pounds of Ammonia(?) stolen. One pound of that stuff can blow a hole one foot wide, and seven feet deep into the Earth. Just think of what 300 pounds can do. It scared my mom pretty bad, because we live just north of Dallas. We used to live in Austin..But I hope nothing happens with that. I have rattled enough..Take care. Bye. Angel
