Good News

I got my books today, well all but one, but that can wait until Monday. I started reading chapter 1 in my American Government class but I started to fall asleep (I had eaten before I came here though) so I’m feeling sleepy right now >_<.

My first week has gone along pretty well, despite my feeling frustrated with my offline relationship luck. My classes should be fine, and with my schedule, I should be able to get ahead in my classes. Here’s my schedule:

M: Human Communication (9-9:50), astronomy lab (2:30-4:20). I applied for a job and filled in a three hour hole (it takes an hour round trip to get from my dorm to GSU and back) for work. There, I could spend time studying my Astronomy. Then, I put in time after class to work until closing (about 5:30-9). The job I applied for is for the mailroom in the Village.

TR: American Government (9:30-10:45), Global Issues (11-12:15), Astronomy (1-2:15). With this, I have a 15 minute break from American to Global. I can spend time just going over lecture notes while waiting for the professor to show up in Global. During the 45 minute break, I can have a little snack and do what it is I need to do during that time. After Astronomy, if I feel like I accomplish what I need to do, then I’ll head back to the Village. Otherwise, I’ll stay on campus to complete whatever. Once again, I put down time I could work.

Wednesday: Human Communication (9-9:50). After that class, I can really let loose. Because that’s the only class of the day, I can set Wednesday as the day to play catch up, read any chapters between Tuesday and thursday class, research, or whatever.

Finally, I have no classes on Friday.

With this schedule, I shouldn’t have any problems at all with this upcoming semester. I have no papers to write, but a couple of midterms and three finals in my classes (one of my professors will be out of town so no final there), and lastly, only two will be culmulative. This is what I have to do before the end of next week: read chapters 1-3 in American Government, read chapters 2-3 by Tuesday in Global Issues, read chapter one before Tuesday in Astronomy and parts of Chapter 2 before Thursday, and finish chapter 3 in Human Communication.

I will break it down like this: today, try and read as much of American Government as I can. Saturday, read chapters 2-3 in Global Issues. Sunday, read chapter one in Astronomy, and finish chapter 3 monday in HC. I could vary the schedule because of the huge break between my first class and my lab. That’s about it for today. Have a great weekend!

Who do you have for American Government? (I’m nosy. I’m also taking the same class and I was just wondering who you had.)
