Profound Commercial

Isn’t it ridiculous that you can register for match.com for free, but to contact your matches through e-mail, you have to subscribe?

There’s these series of commercials dealing with second hand smoke in Georgia. At the end, the words, “Georgia Unite” is shown on the screen. Some of the commercials include a pregnant woman explaining that second hand smoke can travel into the lung’s of everyone in the room (they then showed the pic of the baby in the womb). In another commercial, there’s this young girl who looks to be about 8. She talks about how second hand smoke makes her really scared.

Lastly, there’s this very profound commercial which makes you think about second hand smoke. This black woman and this white man are riding in a car (the black woman was driving) and the woman has a melacholic look on her face. In the meantime, the guy takes a cig out, lights it, and begins smoking. The woman swerves off the road, nearly runs into a tree, acts like they’re going to die and then pulls back on the road. He asks her, “what did you do that for?” and she’s like, “You’re endangering my life, I’m just returning the favor.”

Ah I love those commericals… and the whole match.com thing.. all I can get is guys from India because my SN is Lalia (i think) and if you switch the I and L you get Laila which is like a city or something in India….. bah… I want a nice American guy… ooh wait. latino would be nice, but I think its just enrique lol…. anywho… 🙂 ty for the notes 🙂

I agree. I like that commercial with the man and the woman. It would be nice if people would actually realize that smoking is bad… It would be nice if some good would come from the commericals, other than entertainment value.

Yeah I’ve seen the car one…I’m not sure about the others though. I like the ones we have better than those stupid truth commercials though…something about those commercials piss me off…as both a smoker and a non-smoker. Hmmm…oh well. Smiles! S*

Hah, I get those and the truth commercials mixed up, but I luv the car commercial. 🙂 I wonder if there has been any drop in cig purchases since those started?
