My baby boy
I have always told my children that they will always be my babies. This morning this is the conversation that I had with my 3 year old son, Isaiah.
Me – I love you Isaiah, you are my sweet baby boy.
Isaiah – I’m not your baby.
Me – but Isaiah you will always be my baby boy.
Isaiah – I don’t want to be your baby.
I tickled him, and said – Are you my baby?
He said – No, I’m A-ah
This went on for a few more minutes and I realized that he had a wet pullup on.
I said – Isaiah, you need to take your pullup off and put underwear on
Isaiah – I don’t want underwear, I want to be your baby.
After the pullup was fixed this is the conversation we had –
Me – Isaiah, are you my sweet love?
Isaiah – no
Me – why?
Isaiah – Because
Me – Because, why?
Isaiah – Because it’s almost dinner time.
I set him down (he was in my lap) and said – only sweet love’s get to sit in my lap.
Isaiah – I want to sit in your lap.
Me – but you said you didn’t want to be my sweet love.
Isaiah – I am your sweet love.
Why do 3 years olds have to be such stinkers?
He has now come up to me 4 times and climbed into my lap, saying “Mommy I want to be your sweet love.” I think I’m in love with my son! He is such a sweet boy (when he wants to be).
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww………. :*)) Violet, my granddaughter is 3. She will come up to me, and in the sweetest, tenderest voice, with arms outstretched to hug me, she says, “Gramma, I LOVE you!!” Oh my goodness my heart just MELTS!!!!!! :*) bighugz.
