something better.

1. i wrote a poem tonight, and you weren’t in it. neither were you, or you, or. you. this is important. this means something.

2. i’ve been waking up remembering my dreams. someday i’m going to teach myself to write them down.

3. i never want to see his screenname on my monitor again.

4. i apologized. they said don’t bother, but my conscience said otherwise. and i don’t know if he even heard what i was saying, but it was said, and that is that.

5. i am hiding so many places, but if you know me, you know that i am terrible at keeping my own secrets- so it is like hiding, but with company. hiding with friends. i like that.

6. i made a beautiful journal with a sacred heart on the cover. i will give it to someone. i think i know who, but i’m not certain quite yet.

7. a long time ago, i had a piece of paper that said plan b: be a supermodel. it meant that plan a was to be a writer, and that since i’m only five four, plan a better work or else. i made another piece of paper like that one, and it’s on the wall above my desk.
