Me – Ripping!

This weekend, over two days, I’ve ripped the songs off over 100 of my CDs. The G5 I recently got tears through CDs like tissue paper. 😉 Why, do you ask, would I do something like this? I bought into an iPod on Friday. I’m preparing to upload my(thus far), nearing 5 GB of music onto it the moment it makes it into my hot little hands. Yet another gadget to add to my Gameboy and mini radio and digital camera. I love gadgets, especially useful ones. Imagine carrying four 24 hour days worth of music in a little object the size of a pack of cigarettes. Beautiful. With the AC adaptor, I won’t have to worry about using up the internal battery, I can play the stuff on the iPod in place of using CDs in my work computer. I can take it upstairs and play through songs while I’m sleeping. Music whenever and wherever I want, with no limit as to what I play.

I’m stoked. I’ve waited for at least a year to buy into one. Just because I’m the type who likes to sit back and watch a product’s performance before I take the plunge more often than not. I still have several CDs to find. and the ones at work to bring home and rip into. I might top 150 once all is said and done. It’s incredible how many I’ve bought over the years. and how few I buy now.
