Muse – Researching LaRouche

I’ve read about the man now. And I find myself pretty much repulsed by what I see. I can understand why few people care to even bother tearing him down. It’s too easy considering that behind any rational veneer of modern politics he might extrude there lies a flimsy framework of preposterous conspiracy theory. I’m not even going to delve deeply. The first two links below pretty much lay out past and preset in detail. Though, to be fair, I have included a few positive links on the fella.

I tend to agree, though, with what I read in one article. To discount him out of hand as a madman is dangerous. There is a fine line between genius and madness. While this man is obviously in possession of a heavily skewed view on the world, I would doubt he is anything but intelligent when that aspect of him is set aside.

He should be closely watched.

My husband brought me a publication of LaRouche’s last year… I was repulsed as well. Still no one is as repulsive or as scary as Bush to me these days. LaRouche is fringe at best. Bush has people duped.

“Why is lying about Lyndon LaRouche?” Paranoid nutjob.

Some 15-25 years ago, Lyndon made a nearly successful play to get his folks on the state ballot in Illinois as Democrats. The Democrats had such boring nominees at the time that he nearly succeeded just by virtue of so few Democrats even showing up on primary ellection day. I see him as fading, ever fading. He has given Libertarianism a bad name.
