Me – Movies and Spring Rolls

The last two days were fun.

Firstly, we went to see Return of the King on Sunday. It was as climatic as I’d hoped. A grand end to what I consider the greatest trilogy of all times. At least, of those I’ve been exposed to.

Today we wrapped 400 spring rolls. Yes, I kid you not. 400. We were up since noon cooking and the wrapping took between three and a half to four hours to finish. After that was done we ate and watched Queen of the Damned. It was a terrible movie, but House of the Dead remains my pick for the worst movie I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing.

The vacation continues and I plan for more relax time. Perhaps we’ll hit the big book store later in the week and explore that again. Though we do plan to have some time here for even more DVD goodness.

Ren, signing off for now.

I will admit to being an Ann Rice fan and I must tell you Queen of the Damned had little to do with the book. Ann Rice might not be a literary genius but she’s not that bad. Sometimes a bad movie can be amusing though… remember Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?

400 spring rolls? Are you mad? 😉

btw, I haven’t seen the movie “Queen of the Damned,” but there’s a book trilogy that rocked – I second Paula’s note.

Really? Someone told me that the last film in the trilogy bore no resemblance to the book.

Better than the Evil Dead trilogy? Heretic!

I agree with Zomby, the Evil Dead trilogy rules…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Sounds like you’ll be rolling along until spring! Heehee! Bad movies that are good bad are fun; bad bad movies aren’t worth the celluloid they’re printed on. Ever seen The Fearless Vampire Killers by Roman Polanski? Hilarious!
