Muse – Initial Muse of Masonry

Masonry is a big topic.

After a few hours of general looking around, I’ve found myself confused for a bit and uncertain where to start with it. There are a plethora of sites out there and I can get a general feel for the group, yet things contradict, leading one to wonder what to trust.

By and large, different groups have different objections against Masons for different reasons. Some believe Masons worship the devil. Though proponents of Masonry point out why Masonry isn’t even a religion, despite the theistic terms used by it, the rites and other theistic trappings. And that you are required to believe in a god to become a Mason.

Some believe Masonry is part of one of many conspiracies, of varying levels of believability. Things like the New World Order and the JFK assassination are linked by some to Masons. Personally, I won’t comment on those until I’ve read more.

Online, there are also a lot of sites by and for Masons. Research into Masonry by Masons, Mason oriented news sites, web portals and webmaster resource sites. There is even a Masonic hosting site.

Considering all of this, I think that I will be starting simple with things. I’m going to(work willing), try to get a history crafted tomorrow. I just finished a little project today at work, so I should have some free time to pursue that, unless something comes up. It might, now that I have something to write about. 😉

After a history lesson, I’ll try and start focusing on certain aspects of Masonry. Key to this are readers noting any interest they have in certain aspects of Masonry. As a whole, it is something you could likely write volumes on. I don’t think I have the patience for that. 😉
