Me – A Good Day

For some reason today just feels good. I think its the mix of things I’ve had come into my hands today. After I woke I went hunting online and downloaded about 60+ MB of skins, meshes, effects and sounds for Freedom Force. Some are comic book heroes, others are original. all said, it should open up interesting doors for me to make some fun heroes.

About lunch time, I finally got dressed, grabbed my GBA and a book and walked out to the local strip mall. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I found out some of the stores were having sidewalk sales in the(finally) springtime weather. Power Video was selling a handful of previously viewed DVDs and VHS tapes, so I happily picked up Road to Perdition, One Hour Photo and Panic Room, all for 8 bucks a pop. Several of those were on my to get list and cheaper than the cheapest video store I have access to.

I already watched through Road to Perdition and it seems to work well, despite the reasonable level of ‘use scratches’ that are on its read side. I took a look at each disk before I bought and declared them worth a try. I have 30 days to make sure they work, if one of them doesn’t, I can take it back for a refund. Very cool.

I also stocked up on snacks, so I’m feeling very well stocked this weekend. Were X2 notr at the theaters, I likely wouldn’t leave the house tomorrow. But with the second X-Man movie calling, I’ll emerge from my home to make the trek and weigh this next hyped super hero movie. Been a lot of them going around in the last few years.

I suspect I’ll like it. In the way that I like all action movies with cool effects. 😉
