It’s been a minute, so here’s Coco’s life update short & sweet…

Work
Sucks…Bad. A competitor came out of the shadows and lured 8 coworkers away. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it really matters on my account. We can’t afford to be short-staffed. I’ve been drinking little nips of zinfandel during the past week. Definitely not a solution to this problem…and frankly, I don’t have time to take on another addiction right now! Being a food addict is a full-time position.

Boys
Nothing has changed. J and I are still on the slow track to whatever. I honestly don’t think anything will become of the current mess we’ve created. There’s too much (bad) history and I don’t think I’ll get over it. Just not meant to be. I also have a crush on a friend’s ex. I’ll never act on it…he’s totally off limits. I swear…I’m the black Bridget Jones. J is definitely Daniel Cleaver.

Friends
I know I’ve been a sucky friend lately…please forgive me. I definitely need to make time for my buddies…online and RL. Sorry sweeties. Don’t worry…I’ll make things right…definitely before my birthday in September. teehee.

Fitness
My goal is to weight train at least 3 times per week and I’m struggling. I will not give up on my quest to be an iron chick. Everything else is going well. Tour d’ Italia was a nice, drama-free ride. Next up: Katy Flatland Race. I plan to be on a bike as much as possible during the next month.

Reality Star?
My baby bro and his best friend auditioned for The Amazing Race yesterday. Kyle thinks they did well in the interview. I’ll keep y’all posted.

Travel
Agent passes were awarded for the quarter (the only positive at work right now), so I need to get my plans together. We’ve decided to postpone the cruise until March. It would have been a nice trip for my 29th, but hurricane season is supposed to be nasty again…and I’m not trying to be on a ship in September, ya dig? So…we’re going to return to Vegas for my birthday. Gambling, clubs, shopping…all the good stuff. Chesty, Red, JS and T are confirmed. Anyone else care to join us? 🙂 Roxie…I know you’re reading this…you need to come with us! 

Babies
Another friend is pregnant with twins! She’s due in October…a boy and a girl. 2006 has really been blessed with little ones. Special hugs to Milenka…Week 15!

Music
I’m anxiously awaiting Corrine Bailey Rae’s CD drop on Tuesday. Her voice is amazing. Put Your Records On is the first single.

TV
Current addictions: Entourage, RW/RR challenge (when will I outgrow these?!?), The Hills (ditto), Making the Band and Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Perfect summer fluff. When Project Runway starts next month, I’ll be set.
