May Goals ‘n Stuff…*edit*

Good Morning!

I’m a sore heifer today but the ride was totally worth it. Georgetown is beautiful…and definitely earns its place in Texas Hill Country. My thighs can tell you all about the hills…maybe even write a book report about them.

We ended up with a beautiful clear day. I was worried about riding in the rain (it scares the hell out of me when we have to deal with cars and the elements). Red Poppy was very organized (lots of signage,  well-stocked rest stops and plenty of SAG support). The wind was a bit much at times (20mph+) but we still managed to knock out the 30 miles in under 3 hours. Hooray!

For the cyclists: I tried the Clif Shot gel in Razz. It didn’t make me gag, so I’d recommend it. However, I will be passing on the Mocha version that was in my race bag. Gross…

Anyway, that’s 2 fitness events logged for the year. 712 to go…  Next up: Chicago Phat Camp!

May Goals
-Drink at least 3 liters of H2O daily
-EAT CLEAN! I’m on Day 33 of the 50-Day Challenge…
-20 Cardio workouts (shouldn’t be too difficult considering 6 of them will happen during Phat Camp weekend)
-Log at least 200 cycling miles for the month
-Start running program again. Honestly, I was made for the bike. I’m not meant to be a runner…but I’m going to make another attempt at consistency. Oy.
-Survive Phat Camp. I’m not trying to win any awards. I just want to avoid CareFlight.

That’s all for now. I’m running late. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

-C

P.S. My coochie is just fine. Thanks for asking!

Okay, I’m in — I am committing to the 30 mile ride… I’ll be slow heifer, but I know it will keep me focused on my health — and that’s what I need right now. I’m going to clear it with Darren and register TODAY! Of course you guys can stay with us and we can all go together… if you’d like.

Hey! Congrats on the ride! I have a question for you, when you say “eat clean” – is that a certain number of points/calories; or do you mean you are abstaining from certain foods? Nosy minds want to know! 😉 Take care! – Alice

I’m glad the ride went well! If you don’t like running, then I say don’t do it. There are other things.–

It’s Bike Walk Ride week in my community. Thought about riding my bike to work but remembered a) I live 30 miles from work, and b) I dont own a bike…Linette

Thanks sweetie!! 😀 – Alice

I was just about to ask you what “clean eating” meant for you. Currently, clean eating for me means no M&M’s or going off Points. I’m having a hard time getting through one day, but I did it yesterday & today looks all right, but, it’s only 10:30am & I’ve already re-routed my hunger with tea & water twice – noon is a lifetime away right now! 🙂 Thanks for the edit-love your inspiration! Thea

pretty much you rule.

You’re the meaning in my life, you’re my inspiiiiiraaaaation! 🙂 I read an article this week in the new Fitness that listed the top foods for a flat stomach, or something like that. I’d had everything on the list in the past week! Yay!
