I’m sure you’ve all heard about the drownings at the Ft. Worth Water Gardens. My heart goes out to their families. 🙁 This story really affected me more than I thought it would. I went to the water gardens several times as a child in the DFW metroplex. It’s an annual field trip for a lot of local schools. This story made me realize how easily it could have been myself or one of my classmates back in the day. If a grown man couldn’t escape the suction, a child didn’t stand a chance. The water gardens are beautiful, but it’s time to take additional precautions…even if it means putting up safety railing.
So…I saw PBD at the gym yesterday…with his wife. He stopped me to say “hello” and introduced her. Funny, he didn’t have a ring on last time we “bumped” into each other. LOL I’m not heartbroken…as my friend says, he probably had a little peepee anyway. Isn’t that hateful?
FYI, I’m going to win the $145 million Texas lotto tomorrow night, so if you’ve done me wrong at any point in my life, you better get right!

Does anyone have an article of clothing that they want to wear at goal weight? My latest obsession is 7 For All Mankind jeans. This pair to be exact:
I don’t care that they are $154. If my phat ass can fit into them at goal weight, they are mine. Of course, a lot of jeans aren’t made for “sistah girl” body shapes, so it could be a struggle. The model doesn’t have much in the area of hips or ass. What about you? Anything that you plan to be rocking on the runway (in the garage…LOL) when you reach goal weight?

Ugh, PBD is married, there are other PBDs out there! Last time I lost weight I found this sundress on sale for like $5 at LB and I bought it in a size 14 when I was wearing a 22. I must have put that thing on 500 times over the 5 months it took me to get into it. It was nothing special but I thought I was some HOT SHIT when I finally got in it!! Those jeans are smokin’!

It’s so funny how much you and I have in common! I have been looking on shopbop.com for “7” jeans too. What I really can’t wait to wear though is a pair of juicy couture jeans or anything from Express. Lane Bryant has been good to us, but once I hit goal (or even 10 lbs from goal) they are history! My “goal outfit” is a little red dress with spaghetti straps. Everyone always tell me how good I look in Red and when I lose weight how nice my legs are. Way to go on the 2.8 and destiny has a funny way…PBD with his wife. We can scratch him off the list of possibles. I did not buy lotto tckts last night. Water Gardens was very sad and I thought the same thing, we went a lot as kids too.
