At Peace…

I have truly enjoyed having this week off! I had no idea how tense my work environment has become. My whole attitude has changed and I feel relaxed. It’s definitely time for me to move on to something else. I’ve always been very sensible with my moves, but right now I’m in the scary zone: I feel the urge to walk in and quit…without having a new job lined up. I know that’s crazy talk to some people, but a few of you know the feeling. 🙂

My pregnant friend has finally found adoptive parents for her baby. The couple has been married for 11 years…and TTC since Day 1. The woman is a teacher and her husband works for the city. The cool factor is that both of them were adopted as children. I think that will definitely make things easier when the child is old enough to understand the process. My friend is happy and relieved. I had my doubts at first…but after talking to her in detail, I truly believe she made the right decision.

I went to update info on my high school’s alumni site and they had a notice about the Class of ’94 reunion. Talk about a reality check. I graduated in 1995…my 10 year reunion is next year! Holy moly…I can’t believe it. I have work to do! LOL No, I’m not going to pull a “Romy and Michelle”…but I do need to get the rest of this $#%&*!@ weight off. I graduated high school weighing approx. 280-290 lbs. I need to be at goal to acheive the full dramatic effect. :p

Chesty told me last night that she has no plans to attend our reunion*. High school wasn’t the best time for her…but I told her she should at least go to show off the boobs. LOL

*For those that don’t know, Chesty and I attended the same junior high, high school, and college. Joined at the hip…

I am slowly putting together a great package for the Mexico trip. While the resort has a lot of activities, there’s an interesting bike/hike option available through a private company. The hike is a 4-mile sightseeing tour at a National park…followed by a 15-mile bike ride. I figure we can spend 2 days lushing it up and 2 days being foreign fitness divas. Have to balance out the ‘rita consumption, right?

Did anyone catch Significant Others on Bravo last night? It’s a new show about 3 married couples that go to counseling. They’ve been married for 3 months, 18 months, and 15 years. The middle couple found out they were expecting last night:

Wife: I’m pregnant
Husband: Like…with a baby?

Well…it’s time to take the dogs for their extended walk…Have a great day!

You, Diva in itself, are a full dramatic effect woman. So even though I have no doubt you’ll be at your goal weight by then, you don’t have to push it for that reason. I’m sure you’ll turn many heads as you are now.

On our honeymoon we went to a resort in Mexico that was supposed to be this Adventure/Spa place. Basically to relax and also to get some adventure in, like they had an obsticle course and a million gym type thingys. NO ONE was on that obsitcle course the whole time, LOL. The tour sounds like a good idea though, mix up a little sightseeing with your workout!!! Don’t forget to get a massage!!

I’m with Mariposa — you’d be a knockout now! I’d say it’s still a pretty dramatic change from what they’d recall. I went to my 10 year reunion, pretty funn actually. People don’t often become what you think they will. The entertainment value alone was worth it, and I didn’t really want to go either.

You’re gonna WOW them no matter what 🙂 🙂 🙂 You look AMAZING and it doesn’t matter whether you’re at goal or not, the effect will be dazzling!!!! 🙂 YOU ROCK DIVA 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

You will have to tell me about Mexico. I’m planning on going there for my honeymoon

You have The Glow. Whatever it is, you have it. Basically I agree with what everyone else said ;). And the work thing: in three weeks, I am out of a job with nothing on the horizon. It’s utterly frightening, but I need to shake that place like a bad habit. Like Chandler Bing says, I need “The Fear”.

ok, i totally understand the walk in and quit thing…but ya know better 😉 omg, my reunion is this summer! :O lmao, guess i’m not going since i’m most likely going to be in New Zealand. gee, high school reunion…NZ….hs reunion….NZ — like it’s really any choice! lol

I have sure enjoyed your being on vacation this week and having daily posts to look forward too. I have been there with wanting to quit on the spot in my job. I know you will do what is best for you. My 20 yr reunion is in 2 yrs and I was very heavy at my 10 yr reunion and in high school as well, so I am really pushing to be hotter then ever at the 20. Keep up the good work! JW-Ft Worth
